The Babysitter And The Vampire

A Modern Lesson For Gregory?

Previously...

"Of course! That's a great idea! The boys don't have school for a while!"
Gregory and I smiled and left.

And so we continue...

We walked to the cemetery as we approached there was the family. The father stormed over and glared down at me, towering over my small form.
"Who are you?!"
He yelled, the mother hurried up and placed a delicate hand on his shoulder.
"Fredrick, don't be so rude to her. They seem trustworthy if our eldest trusts them."
"You know how he is, Freda! He's a teenaged boy!"
The woman gave him a 'stop now' look and he huffed.
"Alright,"
He looked down at me and growled,
"But if you betray us, I'll make you my personal meal."
I shook and nodded, terrified. Gregory hissed and hugged me as he glared at his father.
"Oh, leave her alone would ya'?"
He grumbled, Coop hugged my right leg and Tony spoke up,
"Mister, I trust her and her brother. They both know about vampires. She wouldn't hurt you or your family."
Suddenly, the small blond girl ran up to me and glared daggers at me.
"I suspect YOUR the girl Tony fancies!"
She yelled angrily at me, Coop walked up to her and said,
"No! You vampires need to leave her alone!"
I grabbed his hand and picked him up, put him on my hip.
"I don't like her like that, Anna!"
Tony rushed out, Anna immediately hugged him.
"Oh I knew you loved me!!"
She yelled happily,
"I apologize, but my family was attacked by a vampire hunter and we must find somewhere to hide."
The mother said, I looked at her and said,
"I can take you to my house and you can live in the far back part of my cellar."
I offered, the father looked down at me and nodded,
"Alright. I suppose that can be arranged."
Rudolph ran up and grabbed Cooper and Tony and rocketed into the sky in panic.
"Rudolph!"
Fredrick and Freda yelled after their youngest son.
"Sir, I think we should go. NOW!"
I yelled as a big vampire hunter ran over the hill that Rudolph previously ran up. Everyone turned and saw him. They panicked and flew into the sky quickly. Gregory hissed loudly and grabbed my waist running then launching into the sky.
"Shit!"
I yelled and we flew to my house. I suppose the family followed Rudolph there as they were all there.
"Are you okay?"
Gregory asked, as we landed he checked my body for cuts and bruises.
"Look, I'm fine. It's important to get you and your family to safety."
I said, he gave me the look of 'I need to do this' and I hesitantly nodded and he continued for a few moments.
"There's a hatch there, open it and it leads to the cellar."
I stated, Fredrick nodded and tried to open it. I gingerly slipped in front of the annoyed man and took a key from my pocket, unlocked it and opened it.
"Hop in."
They all looked confused save Rudolph and Gregory.
"She means go inside."
Gregory spoke, I saw headlights and pushed the father in.
"How da-"
I glared at him,
"We don't have time for this, Dracula!"
I yelped, as I helped Anna in then Gregory pushed me in as he held Tony, handing the blond to me as he grabbed Coop. Cooper was obviously not enjoying being held by the teen.
"I will get you back for this, monster."
He grumbled, Gregory just scowled at him. After we got in we stayed there for a couple minutes, after that I peeked out and took Tony and Coop's hand, pulling them out followed by Gregory.
"You should stay with your family, I don't want to get in the way, I'll just tell my parents you went home."
I said as the boys clung to each leg. Gregory took my hands and pulled them to his chest.
"But I want to stay with you, and you probably already know but my father is hard to be around."
I giggled and kissed his cheek, causing him to smile.
"Alright, let's go. I need to take the boys in for there baths, and also ask my father about my babysitting jobs."
He smiled and took my hand, we said good bye to the vampire family and walked into the house greeted by my family. Bree took Coop and Tony up for a bath and Gregory and I went up to my room.
When he walked in, immediately seeing the Bram Stoker book causing him to chuckle and sit on my bed. He picked it up and examined it.
"Researching vampires, huh?"
He asked, teasingly smirking over at me. I blushed and covered my red cheeks.
"N-no! Well, y-yes... I, um, found it down in the cellar."
He patted the spot on the bed next to him, gesturing me to sit. I hurried over to him and plopped down on the bed.
"Hey, Gregory?"
"Yes?"
"Do you want to learn more about this day in age?"
He perked right up,
"Of course!"
I smiled and got up, grabbing my laptop.
"We'll sit next to me and learn."
He looked startled, I realized he was staring at my laptop inspecting it closely.
"Um, what's that?"
I giggled and took his hand, placing it on the keyboard.
"It's called a laptop. It has all kinds of stuff about modern news, old news, history, facts, rumors, education and more."
I explained, he felt the device all over and clicked several buttons and tried to tap the screen.
"Why doesn't this work??"
He questioned, tapping it more. I took his hand leading it away from the laptop.
"It doesn't work like that, cutie."
I giggled at his confused face,
"B-but your small device thingy does that."
I gave him a confused expression then realized he meant my cellphone.
"Oh, you mean my cellular. It's called a cellphone, but people call it a cell or phone for short,"
I said pulling my iPhone out of my back pocket of my shorts under my brown dress.
"It's kind of like this laptop. It has loads of information and games. It can also do this."
I put it on camera and showed it to him, he jumped as my reflection showed on screen.
"Don't be scared, it's harmless."
He nodded and I put the phone away and looked up YouTube on the search engine, explaining what a search engine and YouTube was. He listened closely and paid close attention to my fast typing fingers.
"I guess your used to this?"
He asked, I laughed and nodded not looking away from the glowing computer screen.
"Mmhm, I love my computer more than my cellular!"
I cheered, he smiled and watched as I typed in '2 Minutes To Midnight' By Iron Maiden. I pushed play and Gregory jumped at the epic guitar started off loudly. He smiled and started to nod his head to the beat softly at first and progressed to head banging along with me.
"This is amazing!"
He said happily, I giggled and replied with,
"I know! Iron Maiden is great!"
Once the song ended I showed him 'My Girl' By Nirvana, 'The Trooper' By Iron Maiden, and 'Stricken' By Disturbed, and even more some from Guns 'N' Roses.
Then, I decided it was time to show him a band I didn't like.

One Direction

I switched on, 'The Best Song Ever' By One Direction. The second it turned on his face contorted in confusion, disgust, and shock.
"What the hell is this?"
He asked, venom dripped from his cold voice. I laughed and turned the laptop screen to him showing him the music video. He watched it all the way through, once it was done he looked up at me from his cross legged position atop my bed. He had a snearing glare stained on his face.
"What the hell??"
He said loudly, I laughed again and said,
"That, my lovely boy, is One Direction."
I said, he had a look of disgust on his face.
"Don't like it. Not at all."
He said blankly, I smiled and punched 'Anime' into the search engine, he looked confused then happy.
"This looks cool!"
He said, I kissed his cheek quickly and said,
"Ohh, I'm gonna love being around you!"
I smiled, and we continued to surf the web.
