Sarah goes to her mother and father's room while they're downstairs and puts some of her mother's expensive perfume on. She sneaks back out of her parents' room and finishes getting ready to go see her lover. Once Sarah's ready, she goes downstairs and sneaks out of the house. The blonde meets her lover at the park and finds her sitting on a bench.

"Hello, my dear." Sarah says kissing the brunette.

"Hi, love." Lily says smiling as Sarah sits down beside her.

"I've missed you," Sarah says placing a hand on one of Lily's cheeks.

"I've missed you too," Lily says and kisses the older teenager. The pair spends hours sitting in the park talking, kissing, and enjoying each other's company. In the early hours of daylight, they have to leave in case their parents realize they're gone.

"I hate leaving you." Lily says pouting like a little kid making Sarah smile slightly.

"I hate leaving you too, but we can't let our parents find out about us. They'd loose it." Sarah says running her fingers through the brunette's hair. She kisses her and gets up and helps Lily up off of the park bench.

"I'll see you soon. Please, text me when you get home so I know you're safe." Sarah says and kisses Lily's cheek.

"I will, love, don't worry." Lily says and with that they go their separate ways.

When Sarah got back home she noticed all the lights in the house were on. She immediately knew that she was screwed. Sarah sighed and opened the door to her house and sees a hole in the wall.

"Damn it," Sarah mutters.

"Where have you been all night?" Her father yells when he sees her walk in the door.

"Out." Sarah says going up the stairs to her room. Her dad sighs and Sarah goes to her room and checks her phone seeing a text from Lily.

Lily: I made it home alright. Goodnight, Sar. Love you.

Sarah smiles and texts her back.

Sarah: I made it home alright too. Goodnight, Lils. Love you too. Sweet dreams.

Sarah plugs her phone up and goes to sleep dreaming about her brunette lover. A few days later, Sarah calls Lily with an idea.

"Lily, would you like to go on an adventure with me?" Sarah asks biting her lip.

"Of course, but when?" Lily asks and Sarah can tell she's smiling even over the phone.

"Tonight at midnight. I'll pick you up. Make sure you have a nice looking bikini on under your clothes." Sarah says chuckling and Lily laughs.

"Ok, I'll be ready."

"Ok, see you then." Sarah says and hangs up.

That night, Sarah gets her swimsuit on and puts some clothes on over it. She grabs her car keys and heads out the door. It didn't take long for Sarah to get to Lily's house. She see's the brunette looking out her window and make her way downstairs. Lily gets in the car and kisses Sarah's cheek.

"Where are we going swimming?" Lily asks as Sarah drives.

"The city pool." Sarah says and grabs Lily's hand.

"Isn't it closed?"

"Yep. We're going to break in."

"Really?" Lily asks nervously. Sarah nods.

"Don't worry, my dear. We won't get caught."

"How can you be so sure?"

"I just am." Sarah says and squeezes Lily's hand reassuringly.

Sarah parks the car a block away from the pool and they get out. They walk hand and hand and Sarah can see the fear in Lily's eyes. Sarah kisses Lily's cheek to try and calm her down.

"Stop worrying." Sarah whispers in the younger teen's ear.

They get to the pool and Sarah climbs the fence and then unlocks it and let's Lily in. Lily watches Sarah run to the pool while laughing quietly. Sarah strips of her clothes and jumps into the pool.

"Come in here!" Sarah exclaims to Lily excitedly.

Lily smiles and takes off her clothes to reveal a bikini that made Sarah's jaw drop to the floor. Lily jumps in the pool and wraps her arms around Sarah and kisses her.

"You look absolutely stunning, Lils." Sarah says holding Lily closer to her and Lily blushes.

They swim for a few hours and then dry off and go back to Sarah's car. Sarah drives Lily back to her house and they say their goodbyes. Lily kisses Sarah and gets out of the car and goes inside. Sarah drives off wondering what their next great adventure will be.

It was late December the next time they had another adventure. One night, Sarah called Lily outside of her house.

"Lily, come outside and dress warmly." Sarah says into her phone watching her clouds of breath in the air. Lily agrees and comes outside in a puffy jacket.

"Are you ok, Sarah?" Lily asks concerned.

"No, run away with me." Sarah says looking at Lily hopefully.

"Ok." Lily says not even questioning Sarah and with that they ran.

They didn't know where they were going, but they didn't care. They didn't look back at all. They were headed in no certain direction and they and their worn out shoes were heading somewhere new. They were both headstrong. They were on a Roman Holiday.

A few days later, the two took a trip to Queens. After the trip Sarah couldn't forget the kisses that Lily and her had shared on the way to Queens. Ever since that certain kiss Sarah could only imagine the weight of Lily's ribs if she lied between Sarah's hips on the backseat. She could imagine the tears in Lily's eyes the very first night she'd sleep without her.

When that happens Sarah would be miles away and a few months late. She wouldn't know where she was running, but she wouldn't look back. Sarah is a wanderer. Sarah was scared of how much she loved Lily, but for now they'll just go on a Roman Holiday.
