Song: Old Money by Lana Del ReyOk so this might be a little confusing. This is my take on the song and it might not be exactly what you think of when you hear this song, so sorry. The italicized things are Cordelia's thoughts and they will be in first person while the rest of the story is in third person. Anyways, please enjoy.
Cordelia sat at her desk. Her head resting on her hand that was propped up by her elbow. She had a mountain of paperwork in front of her. She sighed. Being the Supreme was not all glory and glam.
On the corner of her desk there was a white vase with blue hydrangeas in it. She studied the flowers while thinking about a certain curly haired blonde from her past who used to love those type of flowers.
Now that she was the Supreme she had a lot of money, but thing is having all that money can't replace not having her with her. Cordelia just sat at her desk in her cashmere sweater with white sunshine flooding through the big window in her office. She couldn't help but think of her past.
Our blonde hair whips around wildly as you race down the deserted streets. I giggle and you reach over and grab my hand and squeeze it. We race towards the sunset on this summer night.
"You're my queen of New York City, Delia." The Swamp Witch says smiling glancing over at me.
"And you're my queen of New Orleans, Misty." I say smiling back at her.
"That was a while ago though," Cordelia mutters shaking her head. "I've changed since then anyways." Cordelia finally gives up on trying to do some paper work and just goes to the green house leaving the pile of papers behind.
The green house was her and Misty's safe haven. Misty is long gone though. Cordelia has done everything over the years to try and forget her old lover, but deep down inside she knows if Misty ever needed her she would always go to her. Never mind going to her, she would flat out run to her old lover. She stilled needed Misty even after all this time.
Cordelia started watering the plants and doing various jobs to keep her mind off of her old lover. This didn't work out well for her. The power of the past and her youth was too much. Everything she did reminded her of Misty. Cordelia finally just gave up and gave in to the thoughts of her past.
Her past with Misty consisted of watching sunsets and traveling away to small towns on the weekends, but that's all gone.
Would Misty still love me now that I'm the Supreme? She's never loved just for my looks, but for my words too. Would she still feel the same though?
As a child Cordelia's father has always loved her and Cordelia had always loved her father just the same. Her father had always treated her like a princess, just like Misty had. Cordelia's mother on the other hand didn't. She had always been disappointed in the blonde. One thing about her mother though was that even though she was dead her glamour still lives on.
Before the Supreme had met Misty, she had always felt alone inside. She never knew why though. All she knew was that she felt the best she had ever been when she met Misty Day. Misty Day filled a whole in Cordelia that she didn't know she had in her.
A few days later, there's a knock on the academy's door. Kyle, the academy's butler, get's the door. As he goes to answer it, Cordelia looks up from the book she's reading while laying on the couch in the parlor.
"Hello, how may I help you?" Kyle asks as Cordelia tries to see who it is, but the door is blocking her view.
"Hi, I'm here to see Miss Cordelia." A woman voice with Cajun drawl says. Cordelia furrows her eyebrows at the familiar voice and runs over to the door to see the one and only Misty Day standing there. Cordelia doesn't think and just wraps her arms around the Cajun's neck and kisses her.
But if you send for me, you know I'll come
And if you call for me, you know I'll run
I'll run to you, I'll run to you
I'll run, run, run
I'll come to you, I'll come to you
I'll come, come, come
Oh-oh oh, oh-oh ohAnd if you call I'll run, run, run
If you change your mind, I'll come, come, come
Oh-oh oh, ah-ah ahBlue hydrangea, cold cash divine
Cashmere, cologne and hot sunshine
Red racing cars, sunset and vine
And we were young and prettyHey guys! So, I really liked writing this song shot and I now really like this song! I had never heard it before I got this requested, but it's awesome!
I like to try to keep you guys kind of updated on what's kind of happening with me, so it's not like I'm this alien creature who just writes stories. I kind of like it when I have a personal relationship with the author to an extent. So, um, I had to do a narrative writing for my English and I made an A-, which is really good because that teacher absolutely hates me. I also cracked my iPad.... I'm a little upset about that. So, I guess there's your daily dose of AnnMarie. If you want more daily doses of AnnMarie you can follow the tumblr imagine account I started, add me on snapchat at along-ahsouat , follow me on Instagram at fiftyshades.of.ahs or along_fangirl , or kik me at ahs.ouat.lover . You don't have to do any of these things it's just if you'd like to.
Anyways, you can send in a song or use the chart from my previous updates. You can just tell me a ship and whatever you prompt is. As you guys probably know by now, I do pretty much anything. I haven't said no to any prompt so far and I don't really intend to anytime... so yeah... please send some stuff in.
