Chapter 3

Cato's Pov

We are sitting in our living area on our floor watching all of the reapings.

First we start with one then work our way up to twelve.

Finally we made it to twelve and Clove is already excited to kill some people.

Effie Trinket calls out "Primrose Everdeen"

And out walk this little, skinny, blonde girl.

"Ha! I call killing that one in the arena!"Clove says.

I roll my eyes and keep watching. Before blondy could make it to the stage a beautiful girl steps out of the crowd.

"Prim! Prim no!!" She screams. Peacekeepers coming towards her.

"I VOLUNTEER! I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!" She yells.

Blondy ran to the beautiful girl and she said something. Out of the crowd a big guy came and grabbed blondy.

The girl walks up to the stage and Effie asks for her name.

"Kat-Katniss Everdeen."

Katniss. She is so beautiful-

Wait no! Cato you can't think that about other tributes! Stop it. But I couldn't help but think of her.

That night I fell asleep dreaming about her.the next morning I get up to eat breakfast and then Enobaria comes out and reminds me that our tribute supper is tonight. Right! Tonight I get to see Katniss!

I think clove caught me grinning and already knew why but still asked.

"What?" She said.

"Nothing." I say while still grinning.

I think I'm in love- No! Stop Cato! Seriously! She is the enemy and I can't think that!

Later that night I had a shower and before I knew it I was out and dressed in a tux. Enobaria came in and said it was time to go.

Now was the time to meet Katniss.
