Chapter 12: Unexpected

1 Year later

Neiger's P.O.V

It's been a year now. Me and Ann are very close now. We hangout together almost all the time. She was very lovely and I couldn't help but to have a feeling towards her. It's not just a 'friend' feeling but it's more than that. Not 'bestfriend' feeling too. She was very special for me.

"Neiger!" as I heard her voice.

"Yes, ann?" I replied.

"Please get me that ice cream beside you. On the table."

"This?" as I pointed at the ice cream in a box.

"Yes and get my phone too." as she pointed at her phone that's just beside to the ice cream.

I grabbed the ice cream and her phone and gave it to her. I did noticed that her wallpaper had changed.

"So, who's that guy?" I wondered.

"Oh you mean Kyle?" wow I got shocked right there.

"I guess that's his name and who is he? How did I don't know about him?" He looks muscular and good looking tho.

"Pfft! I've told you about him like a thousand times!" wait she did? I didn't remembered at all.

"No you did not, gal."

"Yeah I did. You're the one who did not heard it." I guess she's right. I remembered something about him.

"Oh. I guess you did told me about him. Wait but he didn't interest me at all when you talk about him."

"Why do you ask tho? Are you jealous? SERIOUSLY?" I am Ann!

"Nah I'm not." How could I lie.

"I know you're lying!" I don't want to admit it! 

She poked my face. Oh gosh this isn't going to go well.

"Stop it, Ann. You know I hate it when you do that." I didn't like it when someone poke my face it feels like getting humiliated.

"I don't care." She said and she even show her expression that she really don't care.

She poked my face over and over again. She doesn't seem like quitting so I couldn't stop my self either. She really look like she wanted the truth. So here I go..

"So do you want the truth?!"

"Yes!" 

"The truth is I love you. Not a 'friend' thing but it's more than that." I had to tell her. 

She seemed very shocked. She was quiet then. We stayed awkward for hours.

"The thing you said before.. it is real?"

"Yes. I'm sorry."

"No, it's my fault. I forced you. Didn't know that.."

"I love you? Yes I do, Ann. It's just, I was afraid to tell you because I was afraid that you wouldn't want to talk to me again."

"Neiger, the truth is I had a feeling for you too but it wasn't more than besties. You are my best bud and I don't want to lose someone like you."

"So for you, I'm just someone for you to tell about your feelings? It's a hella 1 year, Ann. Don't you at least have a small maybe just a little feeling for me?" I'm very pissed off. I can't control it no more.

"Neiger.. please I don't wanna lose you."

"I'm outta here."

I went outside of her house and drove off without saying goodbye.
