Chapter 31: Prom Night

Clarke POV:

{Madeon - La Lune is playing in my room}

It's Prom day and this week has been horrible. I haven't talked or even seen Maria nor Bellamy. The plus side ia that Octavia is dating Lincoln and they are going to the same Collage. The one we will be going to. Raven is going to and she's the one who will be picking me with Monty,Jasper and Drake. Ravens going with Jasper, I'm going with Drake and Monty is going with Harper.

Abby:"Clarke! Drakes here!"

I grab my purse and I walk down the stairs.

Abby:"Oh my god. You look beautiful."

Clarke:"Thanks mom. Hey Drake."

Drake:"Hey Clarke."

Abby:"I need pictures. Come on."

We pose and take photos, I take a photo of us on my phone and leave the house to go to Prom. We enter the hall and it's so bright and colorful. The stage is up and everyone is dancing or sitting down drinking. I smile and we walk to a table, where Raven,Monty,Jasper,Octavia, Harper, Maria and Bellamy are at.

Monty:"Clarke! Girl you look hot!"

Jasper:"Haha Yeahhh."

Harper punches Monty and Raven smacks Jasper.

Clarke:"All ready drunk?"

Raven:"Oh yeah. They spiked the Punch so don't drink if your driving."

I look at Bellamy and hes looking at me. Looking up and down and he smirks.

Mr. Jaha:"Hello everyone, Welcome to Prom. Thanks to who ever spiked the Punch, Monty and Jasper."

Monty + Jasper:"YEAHHH!"

We laugh and Jaha continues.

Mr. Jaha:" We have had some bumps in the road and lost a friend this year but we always stand up strong and we always stick together. Have a great night and Maria and Murphy will announce the King and Queen later. Go eat and Dance!"

We all grab our food and sit down at our table. I eat my potato salad and laugh with my friends.

Raven:"So Maria do you know who the king and queen are yet?"

Maria:"No, people are still voting. After the slow dances we will tell everyone."

She looks at me and smiles weakly, I smile back.

Maria:"Can I talk to you Clarke."

Clarke:"Sure."

We walk to the punch stand and I cross my arms.

Maria:"I know, we haven't talked in a week but have you thought of forgiving me and Bellamy? You have looked at him alot this evening and we have only been here for 15 minutes."

She smiles and I giggle.

Maria:"See I can always make you laugh. I am sorry, it was stupid what I did. He was drunk and I was drunk and he just got upset because he saw you and Drake."

Clarke:"Did you come here with Bellamy? Like together."

Maria:"No, we both knew we didn't like eachother and I knew you hate me even more if I went with him."

Clarke:"You care about me alot don't you..."

Maria:"Yes...Please Forgive me."

Clarke:"I forgive you."

Maria:"Yay!!!"

She jumps and claps her hands. I laugh and she hugs me.

Maria:"Will you accept his..."

She looks behind me at our table, I was about to turn around but she grabs my arm.

Maria:"I'll help you hurt Monroe..."

Clarke:"Why?"

I turn and see Monroe sitting on Bellamys lap and kissing his cheek and laughing.

Maria:"She's such a bitch even though she'll probably be the Prom Queen.

Clarke:"Yeah probably."

We go back to our table and stand in front of Monroe.

Maria:"Hey Monroe this is our table, not yours."

Monroe:"You can't tell me what to do Limp."

Maria:"Limp...Really I don't even have cruches and Im barely limp. Your an idiot."

Monroe:"Oh wow...An idiot, I'm been called worse hunny."

Maria:"Thats good then,I don't even have to waste my breath on you, because every one else said everything for me. That's great."

Monroe:"Bitch."

She pushes Maria and I stand in front of her.

Clarke:"Let's not send people to the hospital okay. Start acting mature and we can finally have a good day. Hmmm watcha think?"

She rolls her eyes and walks away.

Bellamy:"That was definitely nessacery"

Clarke:"Yes it was Blake."

He looks at me and I roll my eyes.
Maria couphs and looks at me.

Mr.Kane:"First Dance of the evening, grab all your friends and dance!"

Octavia:"Alright guys, let's go."

We all get up and wiggle around. Laughing and dancing, we all enjoy ourselves and then a slow song goes on. Drake grabs my hand and we slow dance together. Bellamy slow dances with Maria and she starts whispering.
They slow dance towards us and Maria grabs Drake and pushes me into bellamys arms. She blows a kiss and dances with Drake.
We stand there, not moving, just looking at eachother.

Bellamy:"I'm...I'm sorry."

Clarke:"Not now Bellamy..."

Murphy and Maria run on stage.

Bellamy:"Yes now. You haven't looked or spoken to me in a week. You hate me, I get it but I want you...No I need you. You were the only thing that got me up in the mornings. Before you came to Mount Weather, I was known has the Jerk who would sleep with every girl and beat up every guy. I don't want to be that anymore. You are the only thing that changed me and I became someone diffrent...and I"

Maria:"Alright guys. ARE YOU READY!"

Everyone cheers and Murphy stands there with a piece of paper.

Murphy:"The Prom Queen is...Monroe!"

She jumps and smiles. She runs up on stage and Maria puts the crown on her head.

Monroe:"Oh my gosh. Thank you all so much."

Maria:"Alright Drama queen, we have to tell everyone the king so skooch over."

Everyone laughs and Maria stands there holding a piece of paper, she opens it and looks at me.

Maria:"The Prom King is...Bellamy!"

He looks at me.

Clarke:"Did you not hear her, go!"

I say with a fake smile. He walks up to the stairs and stands in front of Maria.
He looks at me.

Monroe:"Hey Bellamy...Guess what this means."

Bellamy:"You know what.No, I don't want that crown."

He jumps off the stage and walks to me. Grabs my face and kisses me.
He stops and looks at me.

Bellamy:"I love you Clarke Griffin."

Clarke:"I love you too, Bellamy Blake."

He smiles and tears form in my eyes and I smile too.

Maria:"Oh Sorry hunny, you have no king today. Haha. Put a slow dance on."

We hug and dance, just rocking side to side in each other's arms.
This has gotta be the best day of my life by far.
