The shadow looked at what was happening, infuriating to see Dominique again. Its own hands were tightened around her neck! How could she still be alive? The blow to her head had been a nice one, it was obvious. But the choke… I should have taken something to do so. I thought she was dead! She must be dead! Even if she was still alive, Dominique still seemed in shock. Did she remember anything?
It shouldn’t rush things now that the shadow began hostilities. The slightest mistake could be fatal. And it was better to take time to get the job done right.
I’ll have another chance to settle her case.
