#23: The Emperor

Shirayuki's POV
Because Shiro decided to play, we missed a week in the mission. I dont have anyone to talk to. It seems that they already knew each other. Where in the world is Akashi anyways? Akashi..uhm.. He's oozing with an aura different from Shiro. Speaking of the guy...

Told you, he's oozing with an aura of greatness. He approached me while I lean on the tree. "You're late", he said. I gulped and averted my stares. "Ah, sorry. I will compensate for the days that I wasnt around", Shira apologized. Akashi smiled and held his hand. "Then be my body guard", Akashi instructed. "Be..what?!", Shira shouted. Akashi grabbed her hand and led her to the meeting room.

Meeting Room.
There are 6 guilds joint together. "Listen", Akashi raised his voice. All the other stopped what they are doing and focused on him. They are far stronger than him when it comes to combat but they show respect to the guy. Is this his ability? The door opened... Akashi showed irritation in his face.

An angelic faced guy entered with a soothing aura. He's not in uniform or combat suit. He's totally in normal clothings. "I got the map!!!", he shouted and entered. The other guilds made way for him. This one week really made me a total stranger. The blonde looked down on me and smiled. I smiled back. He spread the map on the table where Akashi can discuss the plan. He left afterwards. Is he not going to join? Akashi's instruction are really detailed. "That ends the discussion. You may leave. Our mission starts at night", Akashi dismissed them.

Akashi: Strategist of the Council

"Akashi, ah...where..will be my...room?", I stuttered. "Was that not clear, Miss Shira? I remembered I ask you to be my body guard", Akashi reminded. "You'll be staying with me in my room", Akashi answered. "Wait! I... I.. I will... Consult that with... Shiro", I negotiated. Akashi called the guy.

Shiro: Oh, Akashi. How is my Shira there?
Akashi: She's actually with me. And plus, you're in a loudspeaker right now.
Shiro: Ah... Shira... That was just a joke.
Akashi: I called because I have some matters to discuss.
Shiro: Is the map wrong?
Akashi: It's perfectly fine.
Shiro: then...
Akashi: I'm keeping Shira in my room.
Shiro: Nah!! Dont you dar-

Akashi closed the line. "You shouldnt have said that if you're just going to inform him!!!", I scolded him. Akashi's eyes widened for a moment and returned to the normal one. It's my first time to focus on his face. He's got heteromatic eyes. He turned around when he noticed me looking at those eyes.

Shira went out of the room and strolled to be familiarize with the people she'll be working with. "What a pretty lady on our side", she heard. "Guess I'll have to play with her afterwards", one also commented. Shira felt shived down on her spine. A hand dropped on her shoulders.

"Yo!", he greeted. It was the man earlier at the meeting.

"You dont seems to be a knight to me", Shira commented. "I dont like heavy armors. Plus, It doesnt suit my taste. You're also not wearing proper knight attire", he noticed. "You dont seem to have a lot of friends... This party is the most obedient one", Train informed. "I also noticed", Shira looked around. "Shira, right? How come you're in level 108 inspite of being a girl?", Train asked. "Because.... I have a great partner and came a great guild master", Shira answered. "That's nice", Train commented. "Train, you're a solo player?", Shira noticed when she looked on his information. Train nodded and gave a thumbs up. "Amazing", Train saw a Griffon flying. Two men dropped by. "Are you okay?!", Shiro checked on Shira's body. Shiro punched him. "Why are you here?!", Shira scolded. "He went straight in this place because he was panicking when Akashi called", Fye informed. Shira laughed. "Geez... There's more important jobs to do", Shira sighed.

Akashi appeared in the picture. "Shiro, did you bring it?", Akashi asked. "Let's discuss somewhere else", Shiro said in a serious voice. Shira and the two guys were left outside. "The Wizard of Oz", Train held his hand. Fye took it and have a handshake. "Train, it's been a while since the last time I saw you wandering around", Fye slapped his back. "You both know each other?", Shira asked. "Uhm... Fye was an NPC after the Apocalypse. Before those days... He was actually a famous one", Train informed. "Yeah! And he also have a gift in cooking", Shira added. "By the way, let's go and have some seat inside the tavern", Train invited.

Akashi's Room
"I wont be wasting any time here. I have to be supporting others. I rushed here to inform you the condition in other areas...and also to warn you", Shiro showed photo's of the current situation of some party. C.C's party was almost annihilated when they reached the second phase. Once they are totally phased out. We are going to continue the mission. But.... The rule says... We cannot overtake a party unless everyone....is dead", Shiro said in a sad voice. Shiro added an advice that make Akashi slam the table. "What are trying to ask me?!", Akashi raised his voice. "That's the resolve. Akashi...sacrifices are needed", Shiro patted his shoulders. "Plus, dont fall with Shira", Shiro teased and went out.

Tavern...
"That was funny!", Shira laughed while listening to Train's story. "You never changed... The same clown as ever", Fye commented. Shiro entered the tavern. "Fye, time to go", Shiro informed. Shiro smiled and Shira and waved his hand. Shira also did. Train stood up and went near Shiro. "You're Shira's guild master, right? Dont worry, Shira will be in good hands", Train assured. Shiro pouted and nodded. "I should have been the one with her", Shiro complained. Fye dragged him away.
