#34: Rescue Will Come

The whole raid team rested at the top of another mountain. Some of the griffons started rebelling causing them to be killed. Saruhiko searched around the area to look for Shira. He saw her talking to Kuro. He joined the conversation. "What was it that you were talking about?", Saruhiko askes. "Ah, I was actually talking how Brother and I have the same.features. I was asking Shira for confirmation", Kuro said in a low voice. He faked a laughter and slapped Saruhiko's back. "Dont worry, I'm not going to take her away from you", Kuro teased. Fye called them for dinner.

"Tomorrow will be day 4, why am I so nervous as the days approach?!", Aris whined and cling unto Akame. Kanda punched his face. "Arent you ashamed? Miss Assassin is more of a guy than you?", Kanda asked irritatingly. "You are just jealous that you cannot do the same to her", Aris grabbed Akame's arms and threw her to the air. Kanda draws his sword. "Then, shall we have a duel?", Kanda challenged. "Wasting your energy for this?", Rin happened to pass by. Aika sat with him. Both players set their position on player duel. They wouldnt receive fatal decrease in their HP but the one who receives the most scores will get half of the loser's money. "Shall we?", Kanda started to attack.
"Its so funny that they still find time to fight for a girl", Rin had a soft laugh. "You laughed. You've been so busy these days that's why I wasnt able to keep in touch", Aika informed. "Honestly... I dont want to leave this game", Rin opened. "Once I get back... I will receive another beating from certain people", Rin sighed. "I dont want that to happen as well. I dont want you to wake up and to beaten up", Aika held Rin's hand. "What can I do? Someone who promised me a great promise already died", Rin punched the ground. The battle ended, Aris lost.

Day 4
Snow Area

The blizzard is slowing them from reaching the ice castle where the level boss is. "Shira, use the remaining Griffons with the Council members. I will watch the others from here. Just wait for us in the entrance", Saruhiko informed. "You will be okay here, right?", Shira looked at the Log Horizon members as they all nod. Shira rode the griffon with the rest.

They ended at the entrance of the ice castle. The griffons all died. Esdeath tried to use her vision to check whatever is inside. "So weird... why cant I see anything", she reported. Akashi looked at the map that Shira made. Akashi was the only ones who has another copy. "Shira.... this castle is not present in the map that you created", Akashi said. "No way", she looked behind and saw a huge Santa attacking the rest of the raid team below them. "I'm.going back", Shira said. Kuro grabbed her and threw her inside the castle. The gate went broken. "What are you doing?", Shira asked. "You cannot save everyone. Lets head inside", Kuro said. "Trust them Shira, plus, Saruhiko will not let them.die", Archer patted her shoulder and assisted her to get up. They went inside and fought some low level monsters. A death god appeared in front of them.

"Dont you call this cheating, Game Master?", Kuro sighed. "Ohhh, I see there is a new player here", the death god spoke. Shira gulped and prepared her full armor. "You think you can defeat me?! I am in control of this game", the game master had a sinister laugh. "You put our Commander to sleep and you killed on of the most promising player of this game. What is your intention?", Shira asked. "We are all going to die in this game. Why dont you accept it already?", he said and laughed again. "You told us that the game will be cleared once we are able to catch you!!! Why are you hiding?!!!", Shira screamed. Kanda stood in front of Shira and attacked the death god. There was a few depletion in its HP. "I am also a player but then, how am I suppose to be killed. I am the one who designed this game. I know all the rules and I can even alter it", he explained. "That's cheating", Esdeath bit her lips. The death god swiped his scythe and gave a huge damage on Esdeath that she was petrified. Shira went on her aid. "What I can say is... why dont you just all accept reality and die with me?", the death god prepared a huge ball of fire. Kuro stood in front of the death god. He spread his arms. "Why do you resemble someone?", he asked. "Oh, right... that Shirogane. He made me laugh so hard. He could have caught me but then he died", the death god prepared to throw the flames when Kuro created a portal. "Are you immitating what he did?", the game master asked. "No way", he chuckled and a huge sword came out from the portal stabbing the death god. He disappeared. "He's not yet dead", Kuro clicked his tongue. "Who are you?", Akashi used a handcuff on him. "Oh, pardon me. I am Shiro's brother", Kuro smiled.

The dimensions shifted. They raid team got teleported in different places like what happened when the apocalypse started.

Aika opened her eyes and saw that she was at the desert. She heard some weird noise behind her.

Level Boss: Level 100

She looked around and saw that she was alone. "Save me", she whispered in the air. An arrow came crushing on the monster. "Run to to me, little girl", Todou shouted. The level boss stood up again. Todou killed it in one slash. Aika grabbed on the man's waist. "Mister.... I want to go where my guild is", Aika.cried. "did that scare you? We will look for them", Todou patted her hair. "You are unexpectedly nice with young girls. Are you...a pedo?", Aris teased. Aika ran to Aris and gave him a tight hug. "Whatever happened with the Council and Shira seems to threaten the Game Master that he separated us again", Aris sighed.

Day 5

Some raid team got sent back to HOME. Some are still missing.

Akame and the rest got stucked inside a huge room with no doors. Monsters kept respawning there. Teleportation gems are also unavailable. "10 us already died", Enomoto informed. "You are still standing still. Then shall we go with this deal, I am going to let you out of you let 10 more of you to die. Most especially the healing Elf... Enomoto. If you kill him, then no need to kill 10 more. If you wont move, the monsters will just respawn", the voice of the game master spoke. Eyes were set on Enomoto. Akame stood to protect him. "Do you actually think the game master will adhere to that? He is doing this to lessen powerful opponent", Akame explained. Some players already given up and had the intent to kill Enomoto. "Do you have offense ability?", Akame asked. "What are you saying? I cannot kill a player", Enomoto gulped. Screams are already being heard since some of the players are already killing one another. There are 30 players present. 15 are the only ones remaining. "5 more...", they mutter. The monsters are respawning and started to get the advantage since the players are outfocused. "Stay behind me", Akame ordered. She looked back and saw the priest holding a dagger towards him. Akame paralyzed him and asked the other priest to guard him. "Never dare to kill him. I am going to kill you if you do", Akame threatened. "Why?!!!", Enomoto asked. "You will be one of the pillar of Shira. You cannot die. You have to support her", Akame smiled. "You also are... be careful", Enomoto bit his lips. The battle was endless 10 playes were left. "See, the game master is a cheater", Akame sighed and felt chains on her feet. The level boss appeared above them. It was a ugly looking snake.

Enomoto already recovered from being paralyzed. "Support me, Enomoto", Akame looked back and smiled. She received countless of fatal attack but relied on the priest to heal her. "You are really handy, Enomoto", Akame changed her weapon. It was two double edged sword. "Let's do this", she charged. "Why... why are you still fighting with the clear reality that we will lose?", Enomoto asked. "Help will come. Shiro tells us that we always have to do our best because help will come", Akame said while attacking the snake. The walls started to break.

"Your help is heard. I was waiting to hear you cry", Shira said while riding a lion. "Talking about drammatic entrance", Akame sighed.
