#39: The Burden We All Have

If you have that kind of face... how am I suppose to leave?

"Those were Train's voice when before he died. Am I imagining things?" SAI stood up and turned around. She was startled to see who was in front of her. "I came down from heaven because it was painful seeing you live like this", Train held out his hand and cupped Sai's face. "You are always pure. Shira. The way you are is always pure", Train smiled. Sai fainted and was carried to the clinic.

Aika and the rest were gathered there. "You scared her off!!!", Aika gave weak punches to Train. "This little girl. I feel bad not being able to see you in the game", Train was amused seeing her angry. "Thanks to you, Shira wont be drinking pills today", Aika stopped hitting him. "What do you mean?", Fye asked. "Since Shira and I just happened to be in the same hospital and nearby rooms. I knew  she was taking pills everyday in order to sleep. For the first weeks, she had hard time sleeping and she always have nightmares. If ever she would be deprived of sleep, her body would not be able to recover that's why the doctor prescribed it. It's already a month but she cannot sleep normally. We all have those kind of sleeping habits after the game... but hers was really... damaging", Aika said in a sad tone. "Then... lets help her. Aika", Fye said. "Shall we cook something so that she'd eat when she wakes up", Fye invited the little girl.

"Aika's correct. We did have hard time sleeping", Akame agreed. "Why is she so shocked to see you?", Akame asked. "Probably because I died in the game", Train explained. Akashi also entered the clinic and was startled to see Train. He also fainted. "Who else will faint?", Aris carried Akashi and let him lie down the bed next to Aika. "What you are saying is?", Akame asked. "During the cleaning up raid. I was shot by an arrow from a player. The priest werent able to heal me. I was also expecting I would be dead that time but I woke up in the real world. They said it might have been a bug but I also investigated some people who had the same case. Players who were killed by other people woke up", Train explained. "How is that possible? Only the game masters has the ability to alter any rules. Saruhiko never left the game, he possibly couldnt do that", Aris opened. "Its weird, right?", Train suggested. He looked at Sai. "Plus... ", Train looked at Kuro.

After sometime, Sai woke up and looked around. "I had a weird dream", Sai sat down. "Do you have me in that dream", Train asked. Sai was about to faint when Train shook her. "Dont go fainting!!!", he shouted. Everyone chuckled. "How is it possible that you are here?", Sai asked. "Are you a bit disappointed that I wasnt?", Train asked. Sai stood up and hugged him. "If you keep doing that, you'll never find a man", Aris threatened. "What can I do? I am super happy to see you guys alive", Sai cried again. "Seems like you dont need an explanation. What's important is that I am alive. I heard you used my sword to end the game", Train patted her head. Sai removed Train's hand. "Sorry, I dont like being touched in the head", Sai released him and sat the the bed. Fye and Aika gave her food to eat. "Did you cook this, Fye?", Sai asked. Fye nodded. He also served it to.everyone. "then.. why is Akashi also here?", Sai noticed.

The Next Days...

Every thing is slowly getting back to normal. Everyone is given the opportunity to go back to their previous life and also to slowly continue healing their wounded hearts.

Akame and Sai walked around the library to look for any interesting books. Akame and Sai chose picture books. "We arent allowed to touch any gadgets these days", Akame pouted. "Akame... sorry for bringing this out but I guess it will help the both of us", Sai opened. "How are you taking... Shiro's...", Sai stopped talking. Akame opened the book. "Once, there was a moth who keeps hovering around the fire. The mother moth keep telling him not to. But because the moth was really enticed by the fire, he still kept on hovering. He was burned down and died", Akame narrated. "You are good in story telling", Sai clapped her hands. "Shiro is the moth. He wants to save everyone. Even if we wanted to protect him, he will always go in front to protect us. That is why he got burned and died. Isnt that the same for the two of us? We knew the game was risky and yet we invested our feelings to someone we cannot assure to survive the game. We gamble in the name of love", Akame flicked Sai's forehead. "We both are really foolish, arent we?", Akame chuckled. "You are really amazing, Akame. For you to laugh about this matter", Sai wiped her tears. Akame stood up and let Sai's head burrowed on her chest. "It still hurts isnt it, the simmulation you have when Saruhiko stabbed you on your chest. I just hope that when you are completely healed physically, same.goes with your heart", Akame patted her back.

Aika and the rest of the middle schooler are playing volleyball outside. Rin already went out of the hospital. Aika was about to meet with him when a man accompanied Rin inside the building, Aika's knees became weak and she started pulling her knees together.

The next days....

They are holding a party for Sai's 19th birthday. Also, this is a victor's party. Everyone is designing and cooking for the food. "We're out of drinks. Can you go and buy?", Aris asked. "That will be a lot", Sai complained. "Take Rin and Train with you", Fye added.

The three were allowed to go and buy drinks at the nearby grocery. Since they are rehabilitated, they are not allowed to go outside without any permission. "I'm glad you are already outside the hospital. When we get out, you have to sign the adoption papers, yes?" Sai smiled and place her arms around Rin. "From now on, I will be.your big sister", Sai smiled. Train looked at Rin and rustled his hair. "I.cant", Rin said in a soft voice. "Why?",' Sai's heart got torn into.pieces upon hearing that. "I have someone taking care of me", Rin answered. "We'll talk about it again, okay?", Sai said. They purchased the drinks and went back. All the lights were turned off. "What is happening?", Sai pouted.

The lights turned on and everyone is wearing their costume. Same as what they have in the game. Rin and Train also went to change their clothes. Sai was the only one in her normal clothings. "You save everyone here, thank you", Kanda went to congratulate her. They also gave their birthday present. Some sang songs and also danced.

Rin went near to Sai. "I dont have any material gifts but then... I hope you wont faint", Rin bit his lips and the rest of the boys carried a.huge box in front of Sai. "You have asked me why I cant be with you. Someone already made a promise to me. He also promise you something, right. That you will have a real date", Rin smiled and pulled the ribbon. The box opened revealing that person.

That person she was always waiting for

That person she was always looking for

That person she was dying to see once she's back in the real world.

That person who gave her strength to carry on.

That person who pushed her to finish the game.
