She felt threatened, and shit, I'd feel threatened by me too.

It was Sunday, almost eleven o'clock in the morning and the group chat was popping.

It wasn't the dance group chat or anything like that, but the small group chat that consisted of Adele, Nia, Alisha, and I. A whole twenty four hours had passed since the house party and weirdly enough, none of us had initiated the conversation on what happened. From pieces I had heard Alisha talk about, and pieces from Nia's Snapchat, a fight had broken out somewhere within the apartment, and Nia was this close to being dragged into it. Just as secretive as Nia and Alisha were being, Adele and I were being just as suspicious. I didn't spill the beans about her and Leo, and she didn't spill the beans on Colby (despite the fact that nothing happened). So instead of the group chats discussion being on the party, everyone was semi-panicking about practice tomorrow. The weekend had went by too fast, and I was actually hoping it could last a little longer.

It hadn't really hit me that dance was really starting until today when I was forced to wake up a little bit earlier this morning to run (literally run) to Walmart to purchase some more dance shorts.

This whole freshmen weren't allowed a car thing was really bothering me, and though I always told myself I was going to work out and go on cute little jogs, I thought I was going to do that willingly and not have to be forced by the restraints Howard University was placing on me.

"I got you some breakfast." Claire's voice nearly scared me, but the smell of McDonald's biscuits definitely helped me not go off on her.

"Thank you so much." I responded before taking the bag from her hand. She was dressed nicely for it to not even be noon on a Sunday morning. Claire was sporting another one of her many turbans that went along really well with her body con jumpsuit.

"Still unpacking?" Claire's question most likely came from the position I was in, which was me bent over some boxes that were laid across the floor. Claire had been done with unpacking for what seemed like forever, and now I was finally complete. I sighed as I stood up straight. "No I'm done now. Just trying to figure out where I can put these boxes." I mentioned, nodding at the growing collection of empty boxes.

"There's a stack in the lobby. Just drop 'em there and one of our RAs will handle the rest." Claire questioned.

"Want to help me take them down?" I asked Claire, who nodded nicely before grabbing half the stack of boxes from my side of the room. We walked down the hallway almost silently, stopped at the elevator and waited for it to open before pressing the lobby's number. It smelled like chlorine in the elevator, so whoever had just exited most likely just came from the pool inside the gym which wasn't too far from here. I was always one to have a small petite body, so I wasn't too worried about gaining weight, but it was nice to know where it is. You know, just in case.

Just like Claire had mentioned, there was a growing pile of card board boxes situated near the door with a sign that said 'Leave here.'

Sighing thankfully, I led the way over there and dropped my pile of boxes neatly on top of the others.
