It was a day before game day--finally.

I had woken up at six, and met up with the girls at the bus stop (which was essentially just the dance studio) at around seven o'clock-ish. It was nearing eight o'clock now, and we were waiting for the last bit of dancers and basketball players to arrive before we would make our way to the airport. The flight wasn't long, thankfully. It was only about three hours, so we would make it in Miami, Florida, by around four o'clock in the afternoon. It's been a minute since I've been on a plane, so despite the fact that it may sound just a little bit childish, I was way too excited to go to the airport. It was strange not having Adele with us on the bus, not going to lie. It was like we were missing a piece. We wanted to FaceTime her; to tell her that we missed her, but the three of us were still a little disappointed in her actions from Wednesday. In fact, none of us had spoken to her (willingly this time) since that day. I hated to practically abandon her in her time of need, but how else were we suppose to get our point across?

The dance bus smelled like perfume, which was a great contrast to what the boys bus probably smelled like. However, the mixture of different perfumes was doing a lot to my body, and I found myself sneezing every couple of minutes.

Thankfully, we weren't in the bus for too long. The ride to the airport was semi-quiet, a lot of the girls were still trying to catch some sleep that they had missed last night. The roads were clear, not a lot of people were leaving work and some schools were still closed even though there was minimal snow on the ground. I wasn't complaining, our ride was smooth and I doubt it'll be like that we come back from Miami.

I couldn't help but wonder what the weather in Miami would be like. I knew Miami was a normally hot state, but would it still have that nice beach temperature in the winter? I hoped so. I had packed a swim suit just in case, and even if I couldn't go to the beach, the hotel had a nice indoor pool that I would be making use of. Coach Liz had decided that we would leave Miami early Monday morning instead of Sunday mornings like we usually did. I'm sure Coach Liz needed a break from school as much as we did, probably even more. Unlike us, during the snowstorm Coach Liz wasn't free from working. She had a lot of meetings to tend, and a lot of choreography to create. I guess since it was playoff time, a lot was on the plate. If the basketball players had it hard, we definitely had to have it hard as well--we didn't get slack because we were just the dancers.

Going through the security and all of that extra-ness was the tedious part. Because we were in such a big group, before anyone could do anything individually, the group had to be on the same page. I was ready to get on the plane, and the people who were forgetting stuff such as their flight tickets and the likewise were really holding us back. Our flight was at noon, we needed to get to our terminal as quickly as we could. Somewhere along the way, I got split up from Nia and Alisha. I was forced into a group of girls I didn't know, along with a few basketball players I had yet to meet. I panicked slightly, then remembered that I would see Alisha and Nia at the terminal--we were sitting together.
