Destined to Die
Chapter 11: Tired Hearts
3 Months later
The pounding of my heart was welcomed with open arms. My breaths were quickly turning into short gasps for air. You would have thought that I would have been better at this.
“Don't you try to run. You know what's going to happen. Might as well give into me.” Well crap, how the hell did he catch up to me so fast? And just when I thought that I was getting better at this.
Letting an array of curses under my breath, I sped up. “Might as well give in...” He echoed he's earlier mockery. I could hear the smile in he's voice.
I could feel my whole body fall into a state of relieve when I saw my target. If I could only clear that last tree, I would be home free if I did. Sharp pangs of pain hit my lungs as I sped up, I was already going my maximum speed.
“Oh no you don't, your not getting away from me today...” I could feel my body start to panic when I heard the closeness of he's voice. Why did he have to be so fast? More importantly, why the hell did I have to pick a fight with him?
I could feel my heart drop into my stomach when I was suddenly air born. The cold sensation of pain stormed my body.
“I told you...you can never run for me.” He's cold voice slipped down my back, I could even hear the sick smile in he's voice.
I tried to struggle out of the he's weight, why did he have to weigh a ton? “ALEX, get the HELL off ME!”
I could feel my heart drop one more time. I held in a gasp as everything around me suddenly flipped. Letting out an unsteady breath, I lifted my eyes to find the reason my heart was dropping. “You dirty little lier...don't try to act as if I am the bad guy in this situation. You are the one to blame here...”
“Get Off Me.”
I could feel he's heavy frame shaking. That bastard was chuckling. “Calm down little one. I will in a second, I just need you to say confess to me.”
Letting out an obviously eye roll, I let out a sigh of submission. “What do I have to say?”
“Oh come on, just entertain me, just this one once.”
“What?” I hissed.
“Don't act like that. Just play along...” I felt my breath stop when he's warm body was suddenly very close. “I just need you to tell me that you're wrong.” I could my stomach tie itself into knots. Very tight knots.
“N-no, I'm not w-wrong...”
“YOU LIER!” Suddenly the knots were gone. “You know that I called the first shower.”
“I don't know what your talking about, I called it before we went for the run.”
“Stop lying and submit, so I can get off of you.” He's sick smile spread over he's face. “Unless you want me to stay like this.”
“FINE, get off me...You did call the first shower. Now get off me.” The last part was barely a whisper, but he's disappointed face told me he heard me.
“You know, we can safe time and take the shower together.” Crap, the knots were back. Knots that were setting my stomach to bits.
I was at an utter lose of words. What was the protocol for this? It's barely been three months, I'm not exactly ready to even be in a relationship. What the hell was I doing?
“Alex, Mere? Didn't you two leave-ALEX! Get Off Her.” My internal conflict was cut short by Sameera's shrieking voice.
A huge weight was literary off me. What would I do without her?
