Destined to Die

Chapter 9: The Almost Kiss

Everything was dead silent. The ere fog hugged my ankles. I could even feel the shallow air hitting my feet.

Who ever knew I dream could have been so real..

Dream wasn't really the right word for it, nightmares was more accurate word for int.

Why couldn't I just be normal, with normal dreams, and normal problems. What I would do for a normal dream right now.

I was starting to feel like a ghost in my own dreams.

But all I could do now was watch and wait. I was really growing tired of these dreams. Was it possible to tired while I was sleeping?

After what seemed to be years of waiting, a creak finally disrupted the dead silence.

A proud red wolf brook into the clearing. The proud wolf took pride in every step it took.

Finally it halted right in front of me, it was so close that I felt like I could reach out and touch it.

And there wasn't a doubt in my body, the wolf in front of me was a shifter. And the glow that he's fur radiated told me that this wasn't an ordinary shifter. He was an Alpha. An Alpha that looked like he was about to explode.

Pure rage dripped from he's face, he looked like he was going to rip someone's head off. And I had a pretty idea who that was going to be.

Just my luck, the first time someone could see me in these dreams from hell, he wanted to murder me.

My heart started beating faster when the wolf taunted me by slowly circling me. And my heart absolutely stopped when he lunged.

I woke up with a dry mouth, with my heart speeding a head of the rest of my body. Why did these dreams take so much out of me?

Bringing my knees to my chest, I pushed myself into a small ball, hoping it would slow my beating heart down.

7 deep breaths later, I untangled myself. My brain now having a new problem to think of. Where the hell was I?

Everything just seemed like a big blur. A big aching blur.

The room I found myself in wasn't what I wasn't quite expecting. I was expecting a shabby basement, or at least a damp couch. But this room wasn't close to that.

It was amazing. The shade of the green the walls were painted reminded me of the woods. And the bed felt like a thousand clouds.

Dragging the heavy sheets off of me, I tested out my legs.

The second I was up, I wished I never tried. My legs cried out in pain when I let all my weight onto it. I ran too much yesterday. My whole body begged me to get back into the bed.

But I couldn't I needed to get out of here. Sure it was nice, but I couldn't stay here long, someone would spot me. And drag my shameful ass back to Jesse.

One of the many benefits of being a runaway.

I made my slow way to the door. Every inch of me aching.

Checking my pockets for all my things, I started my quest to look for the door.

A bit of curiosity seemed to be eating me up. As much as I wanted to push it down, I was curious who my rescuer was.

If he was really who he said he was, then I was a big ass for leaving here without a thank you.

I let out a sigh of relieve when I finally found the stairs. I made my aching way down them, trying not to upset my body any more. “Where are you going?”
