Ch.29 To the End of Time (Jace's POV)

   That night, something didn't feel right. I felt the Heavenly Fire moving through my veins inside me. This has been happening a lot lately, but I think it need to escape. I decided to push the thought away. "Clary. Do you wanna do something?"
"Sure!" We grabbed our coats and we headed out of the Institute hand in hand. I wanted to do something special for Clary. Something to tell her how much I love her. But only because the only way I've been doing that lately is with hugs or kisses. But I felt the need to do something for her that would tell her how much I love her entirely. "Follow me!" I said as I climbed up a ladder to the nearest building in Times Square. "Surprise!" I said as we reached the top. "I don't understand what are we doing here?" She said looking at me puzzled. "Clary, do you know what building this is?" She shook her head. "This is the Pandemonium. This is the first time we met. I realized just how much I love you. And I've wanted to set that feeling free forever. That feeling bubbling inside me whenever I see you. Or whenever you're close to me. But I realized that can never happen until the end of time. I want you to stay with me until time stops. But I realized that that can't happen. And it breaks my heart knowing that someday we'll be separated and broken hearted. And that New York is the place where our spirit is. That New York is where we first met, where we shared all our memories, where our children were born. And where our first kiss was. And I realized that New York is both of us together. That Central Park is our mind where we think together, the Institute is our heart where we live together, our families homes are our memories, and Times Square is our Time together. And I know that loving each other until the end of Time is impossible. But losing each other to the end of Times Square together isn't impossible. Clary, will you make me the happiest person on earth, and run with me to the end of Time?" By now her eyes were filled with tears. "Only if you can catch me!" She said leaping on to the next building.
