I felt a shiver of disgust run down my spine and nausea hit me. How could a person be so cruel and disgusting? I had never met anyone like him. I hated him with a passion and after tonight, nothing could ever change that.

I erased my dark thoughts and put my mind on autopilot. I needed to get out of this house of horrors. I wanted nothing but to crawl under my blankets and sleep to forget everything that had happened earlier so I followed him obediently until we reached his garden.

"Nandu!" Rishabh called.

"Let's go," I said and took his arm without sparing a second glance at the monster behind me.

"Get home safe," the monster scoffed sarcastically behind us as we rushed out of the garden through the back door.

...

I have been avoiding him and his gang ever since that night. As sad as it may be, I decided to accept that I would never get my lunchbox back. I hugged my binder closer to me and thought about my sweet grandmother. I missed her so much.

"Out of the way!" The growling voice made me snap back to reality. And there the bastard was, his eyes filled with loathing and his fists clenched.

"What?" I snapped, returning the hateful glare.

He ground his teeth and lifted a finger. It made me flinch slightly because I thought he wanted to hurt me. My reaction made him scoff as he pointed to somewhere behind me.

I turned my head and looked at the row of lockers. "Oh," I mumbled and took a step to the side to clear the path for him with a rapid beating heart.

"Fool," I heard him curse under his breath as he opened his locker. I was about to leave, but my gaze fell on something inside his locker.

My lunchbox!

"That's mine!" The words slipped out of my mouth and it made him turn around to face me.

A sly, evil smile spread across his lips. "Oh, this useless thing?" he asked teasingly and grabbed the lunchbox.

"Give it back!"

"Didn't anyone teach you to say please? Where are your manners?" he tsked with a teasing glint in his eyes.

"Please," I said through gritted teeth.

"That is not very friendly is it?" he asked with a frown, playing catch ball with the lunchbox.

"Please, give it back to me," I sighed, slumping my shoulders because all I wanted was to get it back and be over with this drama.

"See, it wasn't that hard was it?" he smirked as he opened the lunchbox.

I wanted to scoff, but I restrained myself and took a deep breath.

"Here," he said and handed me the lid of the lunchbox with an innocent face.

I took it in confusion and looked him in the eye to figure out what he was planning on doing with the other half. His eyes darkened and the way he looked into my eyes, made me cringe and take a step back.

"Do you want this half back too, Nandu?" he whispered, putting a special emphasis on my nickname.

I nodded and hugged my binder and the lid of the lunchbox to my chest. It was my shield against the evil monster in front of me. I didn't know what he was up to but judging by the sinister look on his face, it meant trouble.

"Since you ruined all the fun the other night and violated me inside my own bathroom, you must atone for your sins before I return this back to you," he said, waving the other half of the lunchbox in his hand.

My mouth fell open in astonishment. That was the last thing I had expected him to say. But then again, when it came to Monster Manik, one could never know what to expect.

"Nandu, don't look like some innocent victim now. I know what you are capable of," he said, rolling his eyes dramatically.

"W-what?"

"You heard me." He turned back to his locker and locked the other half of my lunchbox inside. Then he turned to me with an indifferent look whilst I continued to stare at him in disbelief.

"Nandu, don't keep your mouth open as you have inside my bathroom. It makes you look desperate," he snickered.

I closed my mouth immediately, feeling the familiar anger build inside me. He would never let that go, but what enraged me was the fact that he solemnly blamed me for what had happened that night. It was all his and his stupid gang's fault.

"Baby, what are you doing here? We were waiting for you to start practicing our new piece. And what is SHE doing here?" Alya was standing in front of us with her hands on her hips, looking back and forth between us.

Manik gave me a quick glance before engulfing his girlfriend in his arms. She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him fully on the lips. I took that as my cue to leave quietly. I spared them one last glance. The monster's eyes met mine over Alya's shoulder. His lips curled into an evil grin and then I did something I was going to pay for in the near future. I flipped him off.

 I flipped him off
