I missed my grandmother, especially on a gloomy day like today. She was my favorite person in the whole wide world and she could make me smile no matter how sad I felt. God took her away from me way too soon and I have been dealing with her loss ever since.
I am grateful that my uncle and aunty adopted me when my beloved grandma passed away almost 3 months ago, but this big city life was so different compared to the village life I was used to. I wasn't unhappy, but I can't say I'm happy either.
"Daydreaming again?" my cousin, Rishabh asked as he rolled his eyes.
I looked up at him from my science book and shrugged. He loved teasing me. No wait, let me rephrase: Rishabh doesn't like me. And to be honest, I don't like him that much either. He spent his time sucking up to Fab 5, a bunch of snobs thinking they owned the goddamn college. Students worshiped their every step like they were royalty or something. I despised them and their attitudes. They treated everyone like shit and enjoyed bullying students who couldn't stand up for themselves. I kept it out of the Fab 5's radar because the last thing I needed in my life was college drama.
"Did you bring lunch?" Rishabh frowned, still standing next to me without moving.
"Yes, why?"
"Hand it over."
"What?"
"Stop asking stupid questions and just hand it over. I'm hungry and I don't want to waste my time talking to nerds," he said through gritted teeth.
"What the hell is your problem Rishabh?" I asked irritated by his rude behavior.
Instead of answering, he grabbed my handbag and took my lunchbox out of it.
"Hey!" I yelled and jumped up from my chair to grab my lunchbox back.
He smirked and made a run for it.
"Rishabh, that's my lunch!" I yelled and ran after him.
He was faster than me and turned a corner at the corridor's end.
"FÜCKING WATCH IT!"
I groaned and rubbed my stinging shoulder and glanced at the person who had crashed into me. He rubbed his shoulder as well and shot me a murderous look that sent a shiver down my spine.
"What the hell are you looking at you blind cow?" he hissed.
"I-I didn't see you. I'm sorry," I quickly said, though it had been his fault, and ignored the hurtful name he had called me.
"Country brute," he cursed and pushed me aside.
I almost lost my balance and grabbed the wall next to me just in time. He walked off as I stared at his back in disbelief. I wanted to stop him and yell at him, but I knew he was a member of Fab 5. As I said, I wanted to stay out of their way, thus it was a bad idea to confront him. I sighed and rubbed my shoulder some more to numb the pain.
I returned to the library to grab my bag, only to realize that it wasn't there. I looked everywhere, but it seemed to have vanished into thin air.
"Rishabh!" I growled and stomped my feet in anger.
I entered the college canteen to look for my childish cousin when I came face to face with that brute from earlier. He gave me a bored look and gestured for me to step aside with his index finger like I was his dog or something. I clenched my jaw and took a deep breath.
Keep your cool Nandini, I told myself as I took 2 more deep breaths.
"Move bitch!" he growled.
"Piss off!" I suddenly snapped.
"What did you say?" he gasped in shock.
"Cabir, what are you doing?"
It was one of his snob friends, also a member of Fab 5. I believe his name was Dhruv.
"Got held up by this country brute," Cabir scoffed. "First she crashes into me and now she won't move out of my way."
"I guess she wants something from you," Dhruv chuckled.
"She wants my dïck," he smirked.
"Shut up you disgusting pig!"
The words slipped off my tongue before I could stop them. I bit my lip hard to keep the rest inside. The two guys stared at me as though they could not believe what they had heard.
Oh god, what have I done?

What did you think about this first chapter? Seems like Nandini is going to get in trouble huh?
If you want a new chapter fast, leave me a comment about your thoughts :)
Lots of love,
