"Thank you." Kris had politely bowed as the two had walked out of the small restaurant.

"Come again." The employees had bowed back as they exited through the doors. Kris and Tao walked hand in hand down the street heading back to their home.

It was Tao's idea to walk instead of taking the car since he wanted to enjoy the cool night air.

Kris glanced over at Tao to see him smiling up at the night sky. Kris pulled Tao closer to him, wrapping his arm Tao's shoulder.

"Are you cold?" Tao shook his head as they continue to walk. Kris gave him a nod before looking straight.

They were just about to approach the complex when Kris stopped in his tracks. Tao looked over at Kris with a confused look but he just motioned to wait a minute.

Kris heard a little boy crying and someone trying to calm them down. Tao was scared since he didn't know what was going on so he just hugged Kris' arm tightly as he tried to look where Kris was looking.

Kris lead Tao to the side of the building where the noise was coming from.

"Chen gege I'm cold."

Kris slowly walked over to see two little boys sitting on the ground. The smaller one in the older ones lap, the older one trying to keep him warm.

"I know.." The boy mumbled. "You two okay?" Kris softly asked, stopping in front of the two.

The boys jump back.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you." Kris held up his hands, slowly squatting down in front of the two kids.

"How come you two are over here by yourselves? It's dangerous for you two to be out here alone."

The two kids didn't make eye contact. Tao noticed they were shivering a bit, must've been out here a while.

He slipped off his coat and wrapped it around the two. When the two boys looked up at Tao, Tao gave them a small smile and wave.

"Im Kris, this is my partner Tao." Kris smiled as Tao sat beside Kris. The two kids kept quiet.

"Can you tell me why you two are out here alone?" Kris asked again after a while.

"We ran away from home." The older boy mumbled with a frown.

"How come?" "Our mommy and daddy don't like us. They always hit Chen gege and they yell at me." The younger one began to tear up again.

Tao's eyes widened, he scooted over to the boys and softly brushed the little boys hair with his hand, making the little boy look up. Tao gave him a cute smile to hopefully get the boy to calm down which it did.

Tao looked over at Kris. "Invite them home, they're freezing and probably hungry." Kris gave Tao a nod.

"Since you two aren't planning to go home. Why don't you come stay at our home for tonight? It's a warm place and I'll cook you two some food, yeah?"

"Please gege? I'm hungry." The little one pouted.

His brother nodded and the two stood up. The two men stood up as well, Tao taking Kris' hand.

"What are your names?" Kris asked looking down at the two boys. "I'm Chen, this is Huan."

Kris had told Tao their names and Tao just smiled as he nodded.

Tao grabbed his coat and slipped it on. He held out his arms for the younger one to walk into.

"He wants to carry you so you'll be warm." Kris smiled at the younger boy. He had glanced over at his brother, who gave him a nod and mumbled an ill be right here, before walking to Tao's arms.

The little boy smiled as he cuddled closer to Tao and soaked up his warmth.

"Let's go." Kris smiled, holding onto the other boys hand as he led the way.
