Lucifer's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~

Those words, the demon spoke.
"You don't look like an angel. Are you the wolf, or the one who's gonna die?"
The second he said those words, they all came back to me. The memories. I tried to say something but I fell unconscious.
"Wait wha-!?"
When I woke up, it didn't seem like anything had changed. They were all still in the same places they were when I fell. It seemed like I was blacked out for ages, but it only looks like a few minutes had passed.
"Lucifer!" Kaitlyn shouted.
She was crying. She cries easily, I've noticed. Reminds me of somebody I used to know... Even they look alike...
"Lucifer, oh my god, are you okay? What happened? Why did you fall?"
She gave me a hand up and I gave her a weak smile to show my appreciation. God, she looked so much like my old friend.
The angel girl looked confused, as did Tristan. Shile looked genuinely worried, which was a nice surprise. I looked back at Kaitlyn, who was staring at me, her eyes filled with concern.
"I'm OK."
"Are you sure? What happened?"
"Heh, some memories of my past lives came back to me, but not much."
"Huh..?"
"I'll tell you later-" I then remembered my 'brother'. "-Tristan?"
"Hm?"
"What exactly was the prophecy you heard? The one you were told?"
"What was the prophecy you were told?"
"Tristan, I'm serious. We don't have the time for messing around. Especially seeing as Kaitlyn only has another 12 hours.."
"I'm right here!"
"Hm? Oh, sorry. But, seriously, Tristan. I think we had the same one up until where the roles come in. Could you share what you heard..?"
"Ugh, fine."

"Okay, we've heard the end of it. So why is it that only you heard this version? I know the dimension dweller was only protecting me, but why would he lie to Shile and Kaitlyn as well?"
"I dunno. Why does it focus so much on you and your inevitable death?"
"Ho ho ho-very funny."

I bet we would've went on like that if the angel girl-Gracie-didn't interrupt.

"Guys, stop! We need to get to get going. You can fight all you want when we get out of here. I feel a strange presence here..."
"It's the Shadow Soul. Gracie's right-we should go. Now."

But I knew what it really was...

Kaitlyn's POV

As we all ran through more of the forests, I noticed that since Lucifer 'gained some memories of his past lives,' he's been acting different. More... I don't know...
        He still needed to tell me what he remembered from his 'past lives'... He was glaring at Tristan who was smirking at him as they ran. I wander why they didn't get along... Not a lot of the others got along with Lucifer for that matter....
         When Lucifer looked away from Tristan, he furrowed his brow angrily and sped up, leading our little group. Tristan shrugged and kept at the same pace.
          As Gracie was panting, trying to keep up with the rest of us, she fell. I stopped to help, but a pair of wings unfolded from her back as she zipped back up to the others.
        Shile was in wolf form so she could keep up. The others were so fast... I mean, especially Lucifer. The others were either Angels, Werewolfs or Demons, but he was only the son of the bush warbler.... Right..?
      It took a good while to keep up with them. Then Gracie, who was now leading, stopped, gasping.

"What's wrong Gracie..?" I asked.
"T-that press acne isn't going... Almost like its following us.." She sighed.
"Yeah.. 'Following us'.." Lucifer grunted.
"What..?"
"Nothing we need to worry about for the time being, I suppose."
"Ummm.... Ok..?"
"Heh... Maybe it's just Tristan.. He's a demon after all."

He snickered as Tristan shot eye daggers. It's like something happened between them two, but they've only met a few hours ago.
And what did he mean by that? 'He's a demon after all.'... It's like he's a different person. He's changed... When he said it, Gracie and Shile's eyes widened though.. Did they know something I didn't...?
