But Aubrey was right, we drove the ten blocks, and soon enough, there were apartments in front of us. Aubrey parked once again, and got out of the car.
"Those were the longest ten blocks ever, or did we just happen to meet every red light?"
"I don't know, but we did see a lot of red lights. Be glad I didn't run any of them."
I got out of the car, still holding Stybba hostage, as I had resumed when we got back in the car before.
"Can you please put Stybba back in the car?" Aubrey asked, with a typical annoyed voice.
"She's my hostage. The way you care for her reminds me of my sister, she still likes her dolls and toys and stuff."
Aubrey sighed, and walked towards the building. I followed after him. We walked inside, and Aubrey went right up to the front desk. A woman who was at the desk looked up from a book she was reading. Aubrey glanced at the cover of the book.
"It's a good read." He commented, pointing at her Tolkien book.
"Is there something I can help you with?" She asked, quickly.
"Um, yea. Is there a certain Antonio DeLeon, here?" He asked, in a polite way. She began to look through the computer beside her. While she searched, the two began to chat in an ordinary way. I looked around the room. It was a decent sized plain, but neat room. The wallpaper had floral design near the ceiling, the room a little dim. There were a row of mailboxes at one side, and a pair of old looking, tan leather couches, one on which I sat on. The carpet was greyish blue, typical public carpet.
"Come on, Sayoki, or you can always just sit there until I'm done." Aubrey said.
I'd probably like to just sit around, in the main lobby room, but I decided to come with Aubrey. I want to see who Antonio is.
As we walked up the wooden staircase, I wondered what he would be like. I worried that he would be a lot like his sister. That would not be so good. Then again, there is the chance that he would be very nice.
This thought came to remind me of when I was back in my dorm, imagining what Aubrey would be like. He turned out to be a typically annoyed person who keeps his past to himself, and takes his roommate on adventures after he was shot. That kind of sums up Aubrey, I guess.
Now I don't really mind if he is like Olivia, I just don't want him to be another Aubrey. One is bad enough.
We stopped at the fourth floor, and began to walk down the hall, to a room labeled room 403.
Aubrey knocked on the door, while I stayed behind him, squeezing Stybba.
The door opened, with a young man standing in the doorway. A really young man, probably only a year older than Paul. He had reddish coloured eyes, and kind of light brown hair, styled similarly to Paul's, but with more time put into it. At the moment, he looked a little confused.
"Antonio," Aubrey started, then paused. "It's me, Aubrey."
Antonio still looked confused, Aubrey sighed.
"It's Merry." Aubrey said, in a lower voice. Antonio stared for a couple seconds, thinking, then his face lit up.
"Oh! I remember you! Merry, it's been a while! The last time I saw you, You were like, this tall,"
Aubrey glared at him as he made a slight hand measurement to demonstrate Aubrey's height, I giggled. Antonio seemed a lot nicer than Aubrey. Antonio made eye contact with me.
"And who are you, never seen you before." He said in a pleasant way.
"I'm Sayoki, Akina Sayoki." I said, quickly.
