Akina's Reflection

XVI

There seems to be an extra door here.

I walked over to the spare door, slowly. Standing in front of it, I grabbed the handle, and pushed down.

The handle didn't budge, the door was locked.

Looking below the handle, I smiled at my discovery.

There was no keyhole in the locked door, but there was a code lock.

"Hey Sayoki! Nothing up there!"

I jolted upright when I heard Antonio's loud voice, hitting my head on the doorknob.

"Oww, Antonio, keep it down."

Antonio pushed me aside and looked at the door himself.

"So this is one of the doors, huh? Very, normal looking, OWW!!"

Antonio was suddenly on the ground, then replaced by a blur of fighting and yelling.

"You dare kidnap Sayoki! You're gonna get it!"

"Oww! Stop, I didn't, Oww Oww! Dude!"

I looked around. Some curious patients were watching the fight, some doctors as well. It wouldn't be long before we're kicked out.

"Stop fighting!" I shouted angrily. When they didn't stop, I shouted again

"Stop hitting Antonio you big fat stupid dumb lowest of the low stinky stupid meanie pants!"

The attacker suddenly stopped fighting, shocked. Antonio also seemed shocked.

"Sayoki.... Sayoki is that what you really think of me?"

I stared at the attacker, trembling. Instinctively, I began to cry.

Paul looked both furious, and saddened by my words. I didn't expect the attacker to be Paul...

"Paul... Paul, I didn't know it was you!"

I began to sob more. The onlookers looked very confused.

"Sayoki?" Antonio asked, confused.

"Let's get out of here, we're bringing too much attention towards ourselves"

Paul said, still sounding upset.

He walked out of the building, Antonio and I trailing behind him. We followed Paul a couple of blocks, to the local park.

"Paul... Please don't be mad at me, I didn't mean it, I, I was..."

Paul just stared at me.

"What the hell were you doing, Sayoki? And why are you wearing short shorts?"

"Better than no clothes." Antonio commented

"I wasn't talking to you." Paul snarled back. He gave me a cold look.

"What were you doing?"

I sniffled, wiping away tears.

"It's about the people who got into the campus, they, they were after me. Aubrey took me to Antonio's apartment, and from there, we've been looking for this building underneath Indigo Creek, looking for a door down, and-"

"You're not serious, are you? You run off with Aubrey, and you barely even know him. He takes you to the apartment of another guy you never met at all! And now you're looking for some building underneath Indigo Creek?! Sayoki, have you gone crazy or something!?"

"He's serious."

"I never intended to talk to you, creep!"

"Excuse me?"
