Aubrey didn't notice me at first, and not until I knocked on the thick glass did he notice me.

He looked dazed, and then startled, running up to the glass while shouting something, though I can't find out what he's saying because of the soundproof glass.

"Aubrey!" I shouted. Aubrey yelled some more, banging at the door, mostly underneath the window.

"What could he be trying to say?" I thought, looking at the door.

Aubrey then sighed, glared at me as he usually does when I don't understand him, and pointed down.

I think he's implying that I check near the bottom of the door. I crouched below the window.

A few inches above the ground, there was a sliding door, probably meant to pass food to Aubrey, but was latched shut and seems unused. I quickly flipped the latch, and slid open the small door.

"Sayoki! Where's Antonio? Where is Antonio? Why are you alone? How on earth did you find me?"

For once, Aubrey flooded me with questions rather than me flooding him.

"I... I just happened to have found you, Aubrey. I was captured, and brought here, then taken to Dr. Farsdale's office, but then your dad came all angry, and the last I saw of them they were fighting. Antonio's not here, he got shot..."

"Antonio's hurt!?"

"Don't worry, Paul's there, he might take care of him, even if he doesn't like him very much..."

"Paul? What!?"

"Nevermind. Come on, Aubrey, let's get out of here!"

Aubrey paced around the small cell.

"Nothing you can do, Sayoki. There's a digit code to open this door, and I don't know the digits. Just go, save yourself."

"But Aubrey, I swear I'm-"

Aubrey interrupted.

"Go. You can get out if you continue along that hallway, there is no code to get out of the building, just run, and keep running until you are miles from Indigo Creek, okay?"

"But... but.."

Aubrey stared at me through the window. His glasses were still off, though his green eyes gave me a stern look.

"Why do you risk yourself for me, Sayoki?" He asked.

"I'm just a guy who shares a dorm with you. Nothing much else. You have people you care for up there, Sayoki, who are waiting for your return regardless if I come or not. We all want to stay close to our loved ones, yours are up there, and mine, well, for the most part they are down here."

"Cody?" I asked, shyly. Aubrey closed his eyes and nodded.

"I... I met him... He's really nice, and cares a lot about you too."

Aubrey suddenly looked to the side, down the hallway.

"Sayoki, someone's coming, run!"

I stayed quiet for a second. I heard the elevator open, then quick footsteps.

I looked around wildly, looking for a place to hide, but there was no where to go. So instead, I decided to follow Aubrey's idea. I ran down the halls as fast as I could.

"Sayoki!" a voice yelled down the hall.

"Sayoki! Don't run! I don't mean to hurt you!"

I paused for a moment. The voice was not Don's, or any other doctors. The voice I heard was that of Mr. Alstein's.

I turned around, just to see that it really was him, and he was alone. Seeing him alone, I carefully walked back to him.

"Where is Dr. Farsdale?" I asked, looking around.

Mr. Alstein had even more blood on his jacket than before. Some of the blood was his.

"What are you doing here?" Aubrey asked coldly, glaring menacingly.

"Farsdale is down as of now, but far from dead."

Aubrey's dad walked briskly up to Aubrey's cell, punching in a four digit code. When the door opened, Aubrey charged out, keeping as far away from Mr. Alstein as possible.

Mr. Alstein had a sad look on his face when his son avoided him, but recognized that this was no time for any bonding.

"Down the hall to the nearest staircase, the elevators are down as of now, so you'd have to walk up to the surface. Doctors and gaurds are looking for you two, watch out for anyone with tranquilizers, they will shoot without warning. Alex and Xela will most probably shoot you dead upon sight. Now go!"

Aubrey grabbed my hand, and began to run, pulling me behind him. Before we sprang off, I heard Charles say, quietly,

"Good luck, Aubrey..."

We ran to the nearest staircase, running up it fast as we could without tripping.

"How high up are we going?" I asked Aubrey as we ran up the second flight.

"High as these stairs go." Aubrey said, running up another flight.

The stairs ended at the fifth floor. The halls were still empty for the most part, luckily, but no other staircases were to be seen.

"Where do we go now?" I asked, looking around.

Aubrey scanned the room, then gazed at a certain door. This door was left a crack open.

"Can you see alright?" I asked Aubrey, looking in the same direction as Aubrey.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" Aubrey replied.

"But you aren't wearing your glasses." I said, confused. Aubrey glanced at me from the side.

"I was always able to see... I just..."

He sighed.

"Nevermind, let's go."
