Stephen
"What are you doing with your life?" Klay asked as he shook his head.
"What are you talking about?" I huffed.
"Look at you, dude, you didn't even remember that girl's name just a minute ago," he pointed out. He's right, I just remember that she had a big ass.
I rolled my eyes, "You know I'm not serious when it comes around girls. I just play around with them to entertain me, besides, I play basketball."
"You always use basketball as an excuse. If you play basketball so much, how do you still have time to please girls? You need a real girl, Steph." Klay continued as he tugged onto shoulder.
"And who is that going to be?"
"Her," he pointed forward. There stood a small girl with long blonde hair. "That's Stephanie, she's such a sweetheart."
"Really? A blonde?" I snarled. I had nothing against blondes, they just weren't my type. They were a good fuck but still not my type. They all seemed to be clingy anyway.
"She ain't even that bad."
"You know blondes aren't my type." I opened my locker and grabbed my hoodie.
"She's in our first period with us, maybe you should talk to her."
"Yeah right, Mr. Arruzo won't let me get up." Why is Klay trying to set me up with someone anyway?
"Fine, it's whatever. What ever you do, don't go around effing with Morgan-"
"Morgan!" I exclaimed. "Never, she's a fucking slut."
Klay rolled his eyes, "Just don't because I'm trying to get with her friend, Taylor. I don't need you two beefing."
I rolled my eyes, "Morgan is too desperate for attention."
"What do you mean?"
"Like she..." What does she do that makes her desperate?
"Wow, you're already calling her out when she ain't do shit."
As I thought about it, I realized I couldn't point out anything that made it seem like she was desperate - or a slut. I guess I was just calling her out. "I don't know, man."
I walked into the class slightly irritated about the whole conversation with Klay. I mean yeah, it would be nice to have a girl wrapped in my arms that I can protect no matter what. I never really had a girl I liked since I never believed in love and trust.
I found my seat next to Morgan and sat down next to her, "Hey."
"Hey," she mumbled quietly. I watched her as she took out her phone and it didn't recognize her fingerprint. She groaned as she slid her finger across the screen and started to type in a long series of numbers.
"Damn girl," my eyebrows knitted. "Talk about having trust issues."
"What?" She looked back at me. "It's only seventy numbers long."
"Only? Mine is only four."
"Well like you said, I have trusting issues," she laughed. I joined into her laugh, she had that contagious laugh that could make anyone's day.
"You know, your mom is a great cook."
She nodded her head slowly, "She cooks for my church."
I kept my eyes lingering on her. Today she had tight black jeans on and a sweater. It was a simple and warm outfit but it made her look different. I don't know how to explain it, it was like if she had looked good. I mentally shook my head, I did not just complement this loser.
