"You can open your eyes now Kanna," Boris said.

I uncovered my hands from my eyes and gasped. The view before us was amazing.

"Wow," I whispered slowly. "You can see the whole town from up here!"

Boris flashed me a toothy grin and for a second, I imagined him with fangs. Ooh. Fine! He would look HOT if he had some of those up in his smexy mouth! I thought to myself.

"Yeah. I knew you would like it. See, it's only been two days and I aready know you so well."

I giggled. "Oh yeah? What's my favorite color?" I asked.

"Duh, blue."

I glared at him, remembering that you could tell just by looking at me. "That was a trick question," I remarked.

"Sure, I believe you." Boris said sarcastically.

I growled. "Aw! Why can't you just believe me for once?!"

He winked. "I just said I did." His eyes looked deep into mine. Those beautiful dark brown eyes...

I softened up a little as he kept on staring and hardly noticed him inching closer and closer to my face until he closed those gorgeous brown eyes. But it was too late to do anything. I just followed him and closed my eyes as he kissed me tenderly. Well,I know who's gonna be jealous. Sam and Alex, that's for sure...and Rufes, but he's not my type anyway. But he's still the one that's going to marry me, whether I like it or not! My eyes opened and I forcefully pushed Boris away.

"I shouldn't be doing this." I muttered to myself, but it was loud enough for Boris to hear, too.

"Why not?" he questioned.

"Because, even if I never asked for it, I'm already betrothed to someone else."

Boris played with my hair. "Well, as long as you don't have the ring yet, we should be fine."

"Oh wow, so you're actually considering this? I could get accused of cheating!"

"Well, we could always try running away together. I mean no one has ever accomplished it, I think, but we could do it." He patted me on the back. "We're a good team, you and I."

I grinned sarcastically. "Wow. That is such a good plan. How come I didn't think of this before?" I put my head on his shoulder and said,"Let's just enjoy the time we have together as friends." I looked into Boris' eyes. They showed a distant, agonizing pain.

"You don't understand. It's hard to give up someone you truly love."

I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "So that's what you think of me? I am so honored." I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. He smiled, closed his eyes and hugged me back.

"I'm so happy to know someone like you." He rested his chin on my shoulder and we stayed there for what seemed like ages. We breathed together, in unison, and finally let go of each other and looked at one another with the best smile we could give.

I grinned mischievously. "Look what I stole from the lunch table." I said, digging around in my pockets to get out the big bag of popcorn.

Boris nodded and said, "Nice."

We set the popcorn in front of us and I rested my head on his shoulder as his hand dug into the popcorn. And wow, he must have been hungry because he wolfed down at least half of it before letting me have my share of it (even if I was the one who stole it)!
