11. Departure

Lumapit ako kay Chronos. I've read about mutations involving the ability to depict what something once looked like. The ability is called Timekeeping.

"Excuse me, pero ano po ang ibigsabihin nyo sa--"

"Ikaw," Chronos said, interrupting me. "Isa ka sa limang tao na magliligtas sa amin. Ikaw ang may kapangyarihan na bumuhay ng kaluluwa. You have the ability of Life."

"Wha--"

"At kayong dalawa!" Sigaw ni Chronos habang nakatingin kina Saraia at Sylon.

The twins looked at the old man, seemingly creeped out.

"You two have the power or Creation and Destruction!"

Lumapit si Saraia sa matanda.

"Tay, kay Sylon, Destruction pwede pa, pero sa akin, Creation? Halaman lang ho ang akin, kaya ko lang ho --"

"Lumikha. Exactly."

Saraia stared at him in disbelief. Even though she explained that she could only make plants, the old man kept telling her that she can create far more than vines and branches.

Sumuko na lang sya at umiling-iling habang naglalakad papunta sa isang grupo ng mga naka-lab coat na Able.

"She won't listen. Oh well, Creators are whiny little brats." Sabi ni Chronos.

"Meron pang ibang Creators?? Bakit si Saraia ang kasali sa mga magliligtas sa mga taong ito kung mayroon pa palang iba?" Tanong ko.

"Dahil sya lang ang may kakayahang lumikha ng lahat na naiisip nya. Sa ngayon, nasa mga halaman lang ang mindset nya, dahil nang ipanganak sya, yun ang mga tumubo sa hinigaan nya. Hindi dahil sa ito lang ang kaya nyang gawin, ngunit dahil dito sya pinaka-sanay sa paggawa." Lumingon sya sa grupo na kausap ni Saraia.

"Melanie, Marina, Marlisa!" Tinawag ni Chronos ang tatlo sa mga babaeng nasa grupo, at lumapit sila. Tatlong babaeng mapuputi at puti ang wavy na buhok na umiitim sa dulo. They look like angels, except for their red eyes which resembled mine.

"These triplets are Creators too." Sabi ni Chronos.

Melanie, the tallest, lifted her hand and out of nowhere, a ball of water appeared. "Water." Sabi nya. Creepy.

Marina, who had the longest hair, lifted her hand as well, and a grapevine sprouted from the ground, which i noticed was made out of metal. "Nature." Again, creepy.

Marlisa, having the palest skin, waved her hand and the room was engulfed in darkness. I shuddered. "Darkness." Bulong ni Marlisa. This chick is the creepiest Able I've met so far. The light was on again in no time.

"Ano ba yan, Marlisa, kairita ka!" Sigaw ng isang babae na itim ang buhok at kayumanggi ang balat sa dulo ng kwarto.

"Edi wow, Klarys! Pinapakita lang naman abilidad ko!" Sabat ni Marlisa sa babae.

"Creators sila. Pinaka common na mutation na Creation. Isang elemento lang ang makukontrol ng isang Creator, unlike Saraia...which she refuses to believe. Pero makikita nya rin na tama ako." Sabi ni Chronos.

"Pero teka," I asked the old man. "Diba lima kami? Whose the one who can 'melt glaciers'? Si Miridia ba?"

"No. Miridia is merely a Fire Creator. Sadyang hindi nya lang ito makuntrol, kaya buong katawan nya ang naglalagablab. Fire Creators are fireproof, you know. And the quarter of these people you are going to rescue are Fire Creators."
