"What??? You must be out of your mind tell me it's not true!!"

"Sorry mom I disappoint you again.. But I've decided that this is for the best.." I tried to reason out with my mother over the phone..

"If you drop out of college I'm not going to support you any longer you'll have to be on your own.." She threatened me

I sighed I already know that this will happen but I'm not that kid anymore I can make my own decisions this time I won't back down..

"I can do this mom.. Have faith in me a little.."

"You disappoint me the most Chance don't ask me to have faith in you.."

Then the line went dead..

"Chance!! Hello!!!"

I covered my ears at that..

"No need to yell at my face Marian.." I said, annoyed as shite towards my friend..

After I found out about Vincent I realized that life is short.. Too freakin' short to waste it to something I don't even want..

So here I am in a god forsaken place with my friends from the book club I'm in.. Soul searching.
I don't even know why I came but they are my closest friend and somehow being with them lessen the pain with Vincent..

"Tainted love.." Jean said as she handed me a can of coke

"What now?." I said as I took it from her

"A love so pure and it's so obvious that you belong with each other but for some unfair and complicated reason you can't.." She said

"Will you just back off.." I told her

"We all know you're sadistic and dominant side Chance tho it scares the lights out of us sometimes you do know we won't leave you alone.. That's what real friends for.." Nica said as she fidgets on her seat

I scowled at them and look at Sheryl who's just sitting there and reading her school book..

"Are you not going to say something boss??" I asked her

She just shrugged; Sheryl is the president of our book club and all of us look up t her cause she's so mature and all grown up..

"What do you want me to say Chance??" She freakin' humored me..

"To stop being nosy seriously we're here to have fun not to wallow in despair.." I shot back

All of them just laugh..

"Yep exactly as you said so stop mopping around it doesn't suit you and besides you quit your job how will you be able to pay for the rent??" She asked me

Serious this time..

They know about me quitting the university and my job too..

"I already found a new one.." I said

"Really?? Where??" Marian asked me while eating chocolates..

She keeps on eating that stuff and complains that's she's fat..

I just want to roll my eyes at her all the time!!!

"My friend from school, Silver you guys met her before right, they have a catering business and they hired me.." I explained

"So you're like on call then?. You actually have more time in your hands now  what are your plans exactly??" Jean asked

"Nothing this is just a set back guys I'll know what to do when the the comes.. I'm fine with this and I also have a part time job with the new cafe near your university Sher.. You'll see me all the time" I told them
