"That song again Chance?? What are you five??" Van asked me for the nth time..
We just landed in Dubai for fudge sake and he's been like a mother hen on me!!! Ok hold up let me tell you how I ended up in Dubai with Van Stevens..
"Say something.."
"Well what do you want me to say?" Van asked, eyes on the road as he drives to the city..
"Well for starters which country are you headed again??" I asked
"I'm going to Dubai Chance, I have an aunt there and she owns a high end club there.. She asked me if I wanted to go and work for her.." He said
"Lucky you then.."
"You mean lucky us.. I told you I'll take you with me.." He said seriously
"I have to get a visa it's not easy to get of the immigration here.." I quipped
"She'll sort it out you don't need to worry just ready all your documents.."
"You're seriously taking me??"
"Why not.." He said
"Does Elli know??" I asked him
My hand automatically reached for his hand on the gear..
"She said good luck and she'll never forgive me for taking you away.. You know how much she likes you.." He said with a laugh, but his hand gripped the gear..
At that moment I ached for Van..
He's been so strong.. So selfless..
Elli have no idea that Van loves her with all his heart, with everything he got..
It saddens me that there's this amazing guy suffering like this.. He doesn't deserve this..
"Van.."
"I'm fine Chance it's nothing---"
"You know I'll go anywhere with you.." I cut him off
This time he smiled genuinely..
"I know..."
"I'm pretending to be Jasmine you twat.." I pushed him away while we're walking towards the exit..
He rolled his eyes at me..
"Van!!!"
Both our heads turned to see his aunt Helena waving at us..
I met her a few months back while we're processing my visa through Skype..
She's one cool aunt and she looks really young despite the fact that she's already in her fifties!!!
"Chance finally, no more video calls.." She smiled at me when we reach her..
"Aunt Helena.." I greeted her..
"Van you've grown!!!" She said as she tried to ruffle Van's hair which is difficult considering Van is 6 feet and 3 inches!!!
Talk about giant!!!!
"I missed you aunty.." He said as he hugged his aunt while lifting her up
A hearty laugh came from Helena..
"Come on guys you must be tired let's get you guys home.." She said
We agreed with her then followed..
