"I said, let me marry her, Gabrielle, your sister!"

Jackson reiterated, a little slower and calmly.

JB scoffed a chuckle. "Do you even know what you're saying here, Jackson-- I don't even know what your surname is."

"Wang, it's Jackson Wang."

So there he was, standing in the middle of a little cosy dinner in JB's home, asking for his sister's hand in marriage.

"I... don't think you guys are hearing my opinion on all this? " Gabrielle meekly spoke up as she saw tension rise over their dinner table.

At once, Jackson knew his place and sat down turning to her.
"I'm sorry, I just got ahead of myself when I heard you were almost engaged. Of course, it's all about you, for sure. "

JB at this point, had his gaze hard on both of them.

This kid is unbelievable, he's definitely not what he looks. And gawd how audacious!

"Sorry, it's just, I really think that you deserve better." Jackson sent a pressed lip smile and sparkly eyes full of sincerity to Gabrielle, and looked over to JB expectantly.

"You do know we hardly know you, right, Jackson...what, Wang? " JB retorted, unimpressed.

Jackson was a portrait of resolute, as he stared straight at JB.

At this point, JB looked at Jackson.
"okay fine, tell me then what you like about her?"

Jackson looked at Gabrielle fondly and thought for a moment.

"She's exactly who I imagined my wife would be. " he said with a dreamy smile, reaching under the table to hold her hand warmly.

Gabrielle was taken aback at his quick advances but did not squirm away. She too had imagined marrying the man of her dreams but not so soon and less so in this random manner.

"Gabrielle, I need to have a word with you." Jb stood up abruptly, giving her a puzzled look as he headed to the kitchen.

Jackson gave her hand a light squeeze and wondered what came over him to make such bold moves for a girl. As Gabrielle stood up, a pit of nerves formed in her stomach. She knew JB meant well and it was hardly a week since she moved in. Causing trouble was the last thing she wanted to do.

When they were clearly out of audible range, she smiled. "Oppa, he's quite something isn't he? " She laughed, nearly speechless.

JB ran his fingers through his hair impatiently. "Look, you're here for school and it hasn't even been a term but a boy has come knocking on our door asking to marry you? Does this even make sense??" His hands were up in the air as he tried to keep his voice down by gritting his teeth.

"I just think he's kind of cute?" She giggled glancing over at Jackson who was now having his fill of the dinner.

JB placed his hands squarely on her shoulders turning her to face him. A look of worry clouding his brows.

"I've been through this too Gabrielle, why didn't you tell me about the engagement? It must have been such a nightmare."

She sighed,"I didn't want you to worry about me, Jb. You've had it worse. "

"Don't be silly, you're my only sister who else can I worry about?" he smiled and ruffled her hair playfully.

"Anyway about this Jackson dude? He's just too weird for me.  I've got to get him checked. For now please just focus on finishing school alright?"
