I arrived to the dance studio and quickly threw my hair into a ponytail before going to studio A. When I walk in I notice that the instructor isn't here yet and my friend Heejae is the only person here besides me. I've known Heejae since I was a little girl and we decided to take dance classes together. Today was supposed to be "competition day" and that is when we do an in class dance competition using all types of dance. I had to do a solo and then I have to do a duet with Heejae. Finally, after about 15 minutes everyone else arrived and class started. We stretched and all the while I thought about the animals I had at home and sometimes my mate. My mother used to tell me that having a mate was a wonderful thing but that changed when my father died in a pack war. After that my mother told me that having a mate will only bring you down. I haven't found my mate yet, so I think that he's either dead or he's mated with someone else.

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts by Heejae shaking my shoulder "y/n, we're starting the competition. Hurry up!" I looked up at him and smiled "Yeah, Yeah. I'm coming!" We both headed to the small stage in the room across from studio A. As we walked towards the stage I heard the teacher calling me "y/n, y/n! I want to see your solo first! Hurry, hurry!" After hearing that, I hurried up the stage and got into my beginning pose.

As I danced I felt relaxed and free. When I dance I feel like all the stress and pressure just melts away. I finished and heard the whistling and cheering from my class mates. After the applause died down, my teacher spoke "You never fail to surprise me y/n." I thanked her and went to sit next to Heejae. "Next is..." The teacher called the rest up to see the other dances while Heejae and I talked to each other. Finally, Heejae and I's duet was called to the stage. We got into position and waited for the music cue.

All of the dances had finished and we were all waiting for the grade results. 5 minutes later the teacher stepped up on the stage and started to read out the results. "The highest scorer in the soloists division is y/n l/n with a score of 98/100 points." After I heard my score I zoned out and got into my thoughts. Soon after though, Heejae shook me out of my thoughts. "Y/n, it's time to go home. By the way you did really great today." After saying that Heejae's cheeks flushed a little red. After that I told Heejae goodbye and headed home to the animals.
