Jihae looked at me, waiting for an answer. My eyes began to water as I felt the other animal's gazes on me. Jihae's hold on my wrist loosened a bit and I took that chance. I pulled away from his grasp and ran back into my room. I locked my door and headed into the bathroom.

(Trigger Warning)

I found the razor and the towel, but this time, the razor found its way to my thighs. I slid the razor across my thighs, watching as the red lines formed after. I grabbed the towel and cleaned up before shakily standing. I walked out of the bathroom quietly.

(Trigger Warning Over)

I heard the animals outside my room calling for me but I did not reply. Soon, their voices faded from hearing and I fell asleep. It was a dreamless sleep, surprisingly. I awoke a short time later, seeing Jihae and Jieun sitting on the edge of the bed.

They looked at me and I turned my head away. I did not want them to see the damaged and broken person I had became since my mother's death. I heard the rustling of clothes and felt a hand gently turn my chin. As my head turned, I met the calm, blue eyes of Jihae.

We looked at each other in silence, before Jihae finally spoke. "My Lady, please tell us why you are doing this to yourself. It pains us to see you hurt." Jieun nodded at Jihae's words and looked at me.

My eyes watered once again but I held my tears back. Then, I slowly nodded my head. "B-Before my mother was murdered, I received two letters from an unknown person. I passed them off as pranks, but another letter was left under my mother's body when we went to her house. I feel like, if I would've taken those letter's seriously, my mother would still be alive. I did this because I felt like all of this was my fault and that I deserved penance for what happened..."

Jihae didn't say a word. He pulled me into a hug and Jieun followed right after. The tears finally broke through and ran down my cheeks. Jihae broke the hug and wiped away my tears with his thumb. He was silent for a moment before speaking. "Please do not blame yourself, My Lady. None of this was your fault. You don't need to punish yourself for something you did not do."

Jieun nodded in agreement and I watched them silently before speaking. "I'll try not to hurt myself anymore, but please, pick up the pieces of me..."
