"Do you need anything while I go shopping?" Lily asks.
Lily and I are at town together. I told her I needed to go to the Havenwood library to do some research for a school paper. So, we decided that she will go shopping, do some of her chores while I go to the library and research.
"No Lily, thanks," I reply.
"Alright. I'll call you when I'm finished and out here again," she says.
I nod, "Okay," I reply.
I'm going to the library do some research more about ghost sightings in Havenwood. I tried to do some researching at home but since Havenwood is such a small and quiet town, there isn't much on the internet. I'm hoping there would be something useful in the library. I'm sure the Havenwood library would have information about its own town.
I get out of Lily's car and she drives off. The library is structured in a way that looks like a Government building. Four white pillars holding up the roof of the building and the building walls made by golden brown bricks. The window and door frames were pure white, exactly like the pillars. The steps leading to the front door are concrete and the benches near the bushes of flowers are a reddish-brown shade.
The town manages to keep everything clean, even though majority of the buildings are around one hundred years old. However, they look like they were built recently. I go up the six steps and push the large, white wooden doors open.
I can smell the scent of old books the moment I enter. The library is silent and there are only a few people inside. One child sitting in the children's area, reading a book; an elderly man looking at the books on the bookshelf; and a young woman, organising the books near the front. The woman must be the librarian. She takes the books from her trolley and places it into its designated spot on the bookshelf.
No one noticed that I walked in. I take it as an advantage and walk to the library's computer catalogue. The first thing I need to search are ghost sightings in Havenwood. I type in 'ghost sightings in Havenwood' and received ten difference sources.
The reference of all these sources is in the same location. Grabbing a pen and paper from my bag, I scribble the numbers of the ten sources. I head to HN956, the first source on the list. Each of these sources all have the same name but just different years. 'The Havenwood Newspapers in 2000' and the years decreases from there.
I reach the relevant shelf and find the ten large books. I take five in my hands and go to the nearest table. I set the books and my down. I begin with the latest year.
The newspapers in Havenwood from that year is laminated into this book. The pages look completely new as if they were recently printed. I flick through the pages, trying to find the specific article I wanted. As I flick the next page, I stopped immediately. I read the heading 'Ghost of Reyna Fields'. My first thought is that people had seen her ghost long before I have ever seen her, since sixteen to seventeen years ago.
It has five months since the death of Reyna Fields and yet the memory of her still roams around Havenwood. Last week, a picture has been taken of the Crossnight Forest which the ghost of Reyna Fields has been captured. Three residents of Havenwood claims they have seen her; standing near the Crossnight Rainforest. Her ghost haunts the Crossnight Forest late at night. Many people attempt to speak to the ghost but there was no response.
'I first thought it was Reyna Fields, alive. That there was some mistake about her death... I tried calling out to her but she only looked at me like I was a ghost,' said Timothy Brown.
It has been a long question of whether Reyna Fields truly died in the fire or the body found belongs to someone else. The question still lingers as people search for Reyna Fields in the Crossnight Rainforest.
