During lunch, I've been in the school library trying to search anything about Anesidora. Jaxon mentioned her during the night of the opening; something about how it was time for her to escape from the Gates. Despite that, it's all over and there is no chance for her to come out, there is so much I'm still confused about.

The fight is over. The gates are still closed but yet I feel like there is something greater will be coming. Thousands of demons have escaped meaning that most of them also plan to open the gates. Until they are all gone, the world can never be same again. Whoever this Anesidora is, they want her out.

I couldn't find much about her on the computer. More I search, the less sources I am left with. I hope Melissa's books would have some information about her.

"It's barely been a day and you are already worried about the gates?" Draven captures my attention.

No one notices Draven. He wears the usual black suit, black dress shirt and the black tie. It must be some sort of Reaper uniform.

"There is a lot I'm still confused about," I admit.

"Perhaps I can answer the questions rushing through your mind," Draven suggests.

I exit the internet browser. "What happened to Dani?" I ask. I haven't seen Dani today at school. I have been growing more worried about her and curious.

"Your friend is a Reaper," Draven answers. "Her dreams before her death signified that her time to transform into one of us was coming soon. Her death was her transformation to her first step as a Reaper."

I never knew Reaper started off as humans. "Does that mean she can't live as a human anymore?" I ask.

"Not yet. This was her first death. After her second death, she would have to leave her life and live on like a Reaper. She has to make the choice in seven months," Draven replies.

"What if she chooses not to be a Reaper?" I ask.

"Her powers will be forced out of her and she can continue living like a regular person. But as a result, once she is touched by death she would be trapped in the realm of the lost souls forever."

"She can't escape this?"

Draven shakes his head, "She was not born to be human. She was born to be a Reaper. Always have and always will," he answers. I sympathise for Dani. She is forced to live as someone she has no choice to be. Similar to mine but she will be known as dead whereas I could continue living a mortal life.

"So, what did she pick?"

"She hasn't decided yet and she doesn't have to decide now. In the seven months, another reaper will be training her and then she gets to decide. She must understand her abilities and her duty before she could decide on anything," Draven answers.

Seven months doesn't seem much; especially when it is to decide whether to live centuries sending the dead to their rightful place or living a mortal life but be destined to live in the ghost realm forever. Neither option sounds pleasant but yet, dying was never a pleasant idea.

However, I am grateful that Dani didn't die. I would never been able to forgive myself if she died. I would blame myself for falsely believing that she was Eve.

"Am I Eve?" I ask.

"What do you think?"

I inhale. I don't know what to think. "Everything is saying I am but I don't feel so unique, I don't feel like Eve," I state.

"How do you expect to feel so different when you were born and raised feeling the same thing? To you, what you feel is normal but to another person it could be seen as unique and strange. You say you feel normal because you can't compare what you feel to anything else," Draven answers.
