The Heart Of An Assassin

Chapter 11

"Ready?" Shay asks me. I look at him.

"As I'll ever be," I say. Shay grins at me and I smile. We go to the area where the smugglers were captured. Liam scouts ahead of us.

"Both of you tread with care, they will be ready for us," Liam warns us, "Remember your training," we continue on going through the trees, "Ready to teach them a lesson?" Shay scoffs.

"They don't stand a chance," Shay says.

I see a few of the English on the ground below us . I grab my bow and I ready one of my arrows. Shay nudges me .

"I'll take out the soldiers on the ground, you cover me," Shay says and I nod. I look at him.

"Hey!" I slightly yell,Shay looks at me, "Remember your training," Shay smiles and he places a kiss on my cheek.

"You remember yours as well," Shay whispers in my ear. Shay goes on the dock and he starts to take out some of the soldiers. I ready my bow again and I aim it at one of the soldiers . I release my arrow. It flies through the air and then it hits a soldier in his head, killing him instantly. I kill a few more soldiers with my bow. Then I see two soldiers right below me. I ready my hidden blades and I air assassinate them both.

I see a group of soldiers, about 3, surrounding about two smugglers. I walk up to the group and I assassinate the two with bayonets and then I assassinate the soldier trying to interrogate the smugglers. I then untie the smugglers.

"Thank you miss," one of the smugglers say. I smile.

"No problem," I say. I see Shay go on a ship. I follow him. I climb onto the ship. I see Shay assassinate a few of the soldiers. I assassinate a few, but then a soldier see us. I grab my daggers from there sheath.

We fight the soldiers. I kill a few more until I am kicked to the ground by a brute. I fall down, the brute raises an axe to me. Before the axe hit me I dodged the axe and then I take one of my throwing knives and I throw it at the brute aiming for his head. The knife hits him in the head killing him instantly. I let out a breath in relief.

I get up and I see guards surrounding me and Shay pointing bayonets at us. I look at Shay and he smirks. He grabs one of the soldiers and makes him shoot another. When the chaotic events happened, I see Liam climb onto the ship to help us. After Liam kills a few, Chevalier climbs onto the ship. Then he kills more soldiers. I grab my daggers and start fighting some of the soldiers.

Once all of the soldiers were dead we all turn to Shay.

"We were saving those fellas, for you," Shay says to Liam.

"Very thoughtful," Liam says. Chevalier kicks one of the bodies.

"Maybe you two aren't completely useless," Chevalier sat to both me and Shay. I roll my eyes.

"Speaking of useless, those block heads won't be needing this vessel anymore," Shay says looking up at the ship. Chevalier looks at Shay strangely.

"This pile shit?" Chevalier asks, then his face lights up, "You want her Shay, she's all yours," then Chevalier face darkens, "Now bring me back to my ship,"
