Chapter 21

We get on the Morrigan and we leave port.

"How trustworthy are the pirates?" Shay asks Chevalier.

"I consider them brother's Shay, when the time comes they will aid us and fight the Templar's," Chevalier says. I look at Chevalier.

"How can you be so sure, what's stopping them from deceiving us," I say. Chevalier looks at me and chuckles.

"You are very opinionated, first you think the box and Manuscript are useless, now you think the pirates will deceive us," Chevalier laughs. I roll my eyes and I huff out a breath. Liam turns to me.

"Why do you think the Precursor Box and Manuscript are useless?" Liam asks me. I look at Liam.

"First of we can't read the Manuscript, and secondly we don't know how to open the Precursor Box, therefore they are useless," I explain.

"But we need to retrieve them before the Templar's figure out where the Precursor Sights are," Liam explains to me, I scoff.

"Liam we don't even know what they do! For all we know they could destroy the world, and who's fault would that be! Let me tell you, it would be our fault!" I rant to Liam, as I do my Scottish accent becomes more thick, "I just don't think we should mess with them," my voice calms down.

"I understand your concerns, but Achilles sent you and Shay on a mission, and I intend to see you two complete it," Liam says. I shake my head in frustration.

"But Liam...." I start to says but then Liam hushed me.

"Drop it!" Liam say a little annoyed. I could feel my head boil with anger.

"Fine don't listen to me. You know I'm just a woman I'm just a woman, I don't know what I'm talking about!" My rage ignites, and I start mocking a man's voice, "she just a woman she can't know what she is talking about," then I yell in my normal voice, "ohhh, you think your so smart Liam, and that you know what's best, but guess what? You don't!" I walk away from him, and I go down below deck to take my frustration out on something.

Shay's POV

I stand there shocked by her words to Liam, he shakes his head in annoyance.

"Shay did I say that she didn't what she was talking about?" Liam asks me frustrated. I shake my head.

"No, you didn't," I say, "anyway I should find her before she breaks something," I start to walk away from the wheel, but Chevalier stops me.

"Let the girl be Shay," Chevalier says, "it's obvious she doesn't want to around anyone right now, anyway we still have things to discuss," I nod.

We discuss some more things that needed discussing. We arrive at Anticosti and I dock the ship.

"You and Liam go ahead," I say to Chevalier. He nods and him and Liam head to the fort. I go below deck to fetch Kathryn, only God knows what's she's doing down there.

Kathryn's POV

I take my anger out on the training dummies below deck. I'm pretty sure I have been in here for maybe a few hours, and surprisingly I'm not tired yet.

I throw a throwing knife at one of the dummies, and I assassinate another. I grad my daggers and I stab one in the neck and in the stomach.

I hear the door to the small training room open. Thinking it was Liam I throw one of my daggers at the door.

"Oh, Shit!" I hear someone yell, he had a Irish accent. Oh no, Shay! I pull my dagger out of the door, rather quickly and I open the door and I see Shay on the floor stunned.

"Shay, I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you!" I say feeling really bad. I hold out my hand and I help him up from the ground. Shay looks at me.

"You really need to control your anger," Shay says. I nod.

"I know," I say, "but Liam just won't listen to me, he hardly ever listens to me,"

"What about that one time in Boston, when you had that plan about splitting up," Shay says.

"But that was different, no one else had a plan, so he had to go along with it," I say.

"Look, you are right we don't know what the Precursor Sights do, but better us getting to them before the Templar's," Shay says. I nod, "we have a mission to do, and if we complete it we will have the full trust of Achilles and the Brotherhood," I smile.

I lean my head on his chest, his arms wrap around me. Shay kisses my forehead.

"Come we need to get to the fort, Chevalier has an informant there," Shay says, I nod and we go to the fort.
