A/N: Okay so the italics with no quotations is the Echo Flowers and the ones with it is a flashback. You'll know once you get there.

(y/n)'s POV

The first thing I see besides water is the Echo Flowers that Frisk told me so much about. They are so pretty! They were light bluish flowers that were about 3 feet tall. I ran straight to one of them to listen carefully what it had to say.

Barrier's broken, huh? Well, good for Frisk.

"Heh, that's was Smiley Trashbag. I wanna know what he said next." Flowey spoke all of the sudden. I didn't even realize he was there. He was so quiet until now or maybe I was just so memorized by the flower.

Also, it intrigued me that Flowey was interested on what Sans was saying or what he is saying now. I thought he hated Snas Sans. I walked to another Echo Flower and we listened carefully to hear what it had to say.

But, how long will it last?

What will last? I'm so confused now. I looked over to Flowey, and he seemed to know something that I don't. He gave me a look of pity and I continued the trail of Echo Flowers in Waterfall.

I mean they only resetted a couple times.

And this is first pacifist run.

This doesn't seem right.

Did Chara...?

No, she wouldn't be able to come back.

That's not right!

But, she did possess the kid.

Heh, maybe I'm overthinking too much.

Frisk promised she won't reset anymore.

But then, weren't promises meant to be broken?

I stopped my tracks after that. Flowey looked over to me in a concerned way. Tears came to me as I remembered Sans briefly telling me about Chara.

"Chara was the first fallen child and became princess of the Underground for a time. She was the monsters' hope. But she fell sick one day and died the next day. Asriel absorbed her soul and took her body to the surface on a patch of golden flowers. The villagers thought he killed the child so they attacked Asriel. He became gravely wounded, but he didn't fight back. He came back to the Underground and as soon he came into the garden in the throne room, his dust spread throughout the whole garden. Chara wasn't the brightest child, she always tricked Asriel into things that they weren't supposed to be doing. But hey, that's probably what a normal human did, right?" Sans asked the younger me.

"Well, yeah, but I wasn't really like that. At least I don't think..." My younger self pondered.

"(y/n), you were always the innocent child out of the family. You weren't like Chara at all." Frisk said sternly.

"Umm, you okay (y/n)? You look a little pale and dazed." Flowey snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked over to him showing that he really is concerned about me. Maybe, he's finally showing emotions? He doesn't have a soul with him, I think.

"Y-yeah I just remembered something that Sans and Frisk told me." I assured him.

"Really? What was it about then?" He pressed on.

"About Chara. She...was your best friend, right?" I paused for a moment. Tears started to fall down to my cheeks. And my voice cracked a little.

"So, why did she make you do horrible things with her and then sacrifice yourself for her?! She doesn't deserve it! She made you like this! A soulless flower, not being able to feel anything again! Is this what you wanted?! Or did you just gave up because you thought no one loved you anymore?!" I croaked out. I wasn't crying for sadness, but out of frustration for Flowey.

Flowey gasped a little at my form and to what I said. His head hung low, thinking about something or just out of shame.

I sniffed a couple times and walked over to the last Echo Flower and bent down to hear what Sans have to say now.

Welp, I heard Frisk has a sister up in the surface. Maybe she can help...
