You sit up on the futon you had been sleeping on. You had woken up to a loud noise.
Your Y\E(Yokai ears) perked at the sound. You stood up cautiously, there should be no one moving in your house, all the shrine maidens had already gone to bed at these hours.
You made sure your tail was safely tucked under your robe and flattened your ears against your head.
No matter who it was they would defiantly freak if they saw a yokai.
As you left your room and rounded a corner an arrow lodged itself in the wall next to you.
"Meep!"you squeaked suddenly fearing for your life.
"Who are you and what are you doing here? Are you another asassain sent to kill me?"the man hidden in the shadows asked
"Umm this...is..my..house...?"you replied awkwardly
He lowered his bow" you are the shrine maiden then, I have a request of you."
"Umm, you literally just broke into my home though." You replied awkwardly
"Yes I suppose I did, forgive me for my rudeness. My name is Hanzo Shimada."he apologized
"Hmm well my name is Y\N L\N the caretaker of this shrine, may I ask as to why you broke in?"you asked cautiously
"I am looking for a yokai, I have a request for them."Hanzo said firmly
"O-oh and what would that request be?"you were started to worry, what of this lunatic wanted to kill you!
"I believe I must discussed this only with the yokai"he said staring blankly
His eyes looked as though he was staring deep into your soul
"Well...Y-your looking at them,"you smiled sheepishly while your Y\E perked up on your head"what do you want?"you asked a little more sure of yourself
He looked surprised"I would like for you to accompany me on a quest." he asked
You pondered for a moment, if you said yes you could finally get away from this stuffy shrine and if you said no he could potentially kill you...
You made your choice.
"I accept."
