Yugi lay on his bed, looking down at Jaden who sat on the floor. He reached down to pet him, but still he was sad and just wanted out.
"Prince Yugi?" Yami called out, hoping for an answer.
Yugi and Jaden quickly looked up, only seeing the silhouette of the prince on his balcony from behind his thin curtains. "Who's there?" Yugi called out.
"It's me, Prince-" Yami hopped off the balcony railing, straightened up and flipped his cape to go around his shoulders, and in his deep, deep, deepity deep deep deep voice, said, "Prince Yami Ababwa."
Yugi approached the curtains, but stood behind them for a closer look. He had many questions as to how in Ra's name he got up there, but he was too angry. He just spat, "I do not want to talk to you." And began to walk back to his bed.
"Wait!" Yami stepped forward and began walking towards him. "Yugi, just give me a chance-!"
Jaden growled and rolled toward him in attempt to protect Yugi.
"Just leave me alone!" Yugi frowned.Yami cooed and bent down. "Hey, little friend!"
Jaden tried to bite his ankles in a ferocious rage, and Yami jumped back and got onto the balcony railing. "AH! SCARY FRIEND. SCAAARY FRIEND!"The carpet watched behind the railing, and the genie floated up to it and asked, "How's our little beau doing?"
The carpet pretended to cut its neck, and the genie slapped her forehead.
Yugi, curious, left his room and went through the curtains and onto the balcony to see if he'd have to throw a body off the balcony, but instead he came upon the strangest revelation when he saw Yami better.
"Wait, wait!" He called for Jaden, who angrily rolled back to Yugi's side.
Yugi asked Yami, "Do I...know you?"Yami realized that Yugi might have recognized him, so he muttered, "No...no."
Yugi raised a brow. "You remind me of someone I...met in the marketplace..."
A bee buzzed by Yami's head, but Yami swatted at it and came up with a decent lie. "Well, uh, I have servants that go to the marketplace for me..."
Yugi and Jaden raised a brow and looked at each other. Can you believe this b*tch?
"Heh, I even have servants to go to the marketplace for my servants...so...it couldn't have been me that you met!" Then Yami laughed nervously.
"No." Disappointed, Yugj frowned and crossed his arms, then looked at the ground. "I guess not."
The bee, er, the genie (the beenie! Hehehe I'm gonna lose all of my readers for that one XD) buzzed next to Yami and in a higher pitched voice, scolded him. "Enough about you, Casanova! Talk about him! He's smart, fun! The hair, the eyes...!" She struck a pose for each and angrily crossed her arms. "Anything. Pick a feature."
"Prince Yugi?" Yami held his pain for having to actually compliment someone. "You're very..."
The genie saw he was stuck and threw out some suggestions. "Wonderful! Glorious! Magnificent! ...Punctual!"
Yami blurted, "Punctual!"
"Punctual?" Yugi questioned, confused.
The genie's blue face went purple in an embarrassed blush. "Sorry."
"Beautiful." Yami pretended to correct himself.
The genie sighed in relief. "Nice recovery!"
Yugi decided to smile and mess with Yami's head. "Hm...I'm rich, too, you know."
Yami grinned. "Yeah..."
"The grandson of the Sultan..." Yugi began to sashay towards him.
"I know..." Yami was wrapped around Yugi's finger.
"A fine prize for a Prince to marry..." Yami started to back into the railing for how close Yugi was to him.
"Uh..." He was unsure of how he had changed from wanting him mauled alive to wanting him...period.
"Right." He said, smiling. "A Prince like me.""WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!!" The genie's stinger flashed red, knowing this was a trick. "WEE WOO WEE WOO!!!!"
"Right," Yugi smiled, practically against Yami. He poked his chest, his chin, then his nose and said, "A Prince like you."
Then evil Yugi was unleashed. "And every other stuffed shirt," he tugged at Yami's hair and flipped his cape over his head. "...swaggering peacock I've met!"The genie's stinger was now on fire, and she was dressed like a pilot whose plane was out of control. "Mayday! Mayday!"
As Yugi stormed off, he barked, "Just go jump off the balcony!"
"What?!" Yami frowned, completely surprised that Yugi told him to go kill himself.
"STOP HIM! STOP HIM!!!" The genie pulled Yami's ear, asking, "Want me to sting him?"
"Buzz off!" Yami whispered, annoyed.
"Fine. But remember, bee yourself!" The genie laughed as she returned to the puzzle.
Yami crossed his arms. "Yeah, right!" He said a bit too loudly.
Yugi angrily turned around. "What!?"
"Uh," Being the king of games, he knew exactly what card to play. "You're right."
Yugi's expression softened as he saw Yami sighed in defeat. "You're not just some prize to be won, Yugi. You should be free to make your own choice."
Yugi's heart began to thud in his chest as he saw Yami turn on the balcony's edge. Yami said, "I'll go now..." Then he stepped off."WAIT!" Yugi cried out in shock. "I DIDN'T THINK YOU WERE ACTUALLY GONNA-!"
"What?" Yami poked his starfish (because that's how y'all describe it, apparently) head of hair from behind the balcony's edge.
"...h-how...?" Yugi asked, eyes wide. "...how are you doing that...?"
Yami flew overhead and hovered a feet feet off the balcony floor. "It's a magic carpet."
Yugi blushed as the carpet took his hand and kissed it. "It's lovely..." He laughed.
Yami smiled at his new idea. "You wouldn't want to...go for a ride, would you?" Yugi looked up at him with adorable panda eyes, so he added, "We could get out of the palace...see the world..."
Yugi raised a brow. "Is it safe?"
"Not in the slightest." Yami winked, and held out his hand. "Do you trust me?"
Recognizing this, Yugi looked at him with wide eyes. "What did you say?"
"Do you trust me?"
Yugi slyly smiled. "Not sure why, but...yes."
