I was woken up by a blinding light. I squint my eyes and see that my curtains are open, revealing a very bright sun. I smack my head back down on my pillow and squeeze my eyes shut.

"No, Victoria. It is time to wake up," scolds Gwen. She pulls the blankets off of me and I groan.

"Come on, Victoria," coaxes Belle. "You can't be late for breakfast with the Royal Family."

I sit up with astonishing speed. "They are going to be at breakfast? The prince?" I ask.

Belle nods her head slowly. "Yes. Is everything alright, miss?" she asks.

I simply nod my head and let them get me ready. I go into my closet and pull out a simple red wine gown. The straps are covered in silver sparkles and jewels. There is a belt the same color as the dress with a simple design made of the same silver jewels that are on the straps.

The girls put it on me and get to work with my hair and makeup. They divide my hair in half and do some braid on the top portion. They add in a ribbon the color of my dress for color and tie it in the back. The bottom half gets curled and is left flowing down my back. My makeup is very simple, only including lip gloss and mascara.

I give a sad smile to my maids as I walk out the door. This will be the last time I will see them.

"Good bye, girls," I say. "Thank you so much."

"It is our pleasure," Gwen replies with a bow.

I turn around and meet with Annie. She is wearing pale blue dress that makes her eyes stand out.

"You look stunning," I compliment her.

"As do you," she replies with a smile.

We walk in silence because we both know what awaits my future. We enter the dining hall to find it almost empty. We take our seats and wait for the others to show up.

I mess with the belt on my dress and try to ignore the sound my ever beating heart is making. Annie grabs my hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze. I look up and give her a weak smile before going back the playing with my dress.

Finally, all of the selected have arrived and we wait for the Royal Family. After a few minutes, the King Maxon and Queen America step into the dining hall grandly. We all stand up and curtsy. Then, Princess Celia and Prince Liam step into the dining hall. We all curtsy again. Some girl named Lydia Easter faints into her friends arms. The guards quickly carry her out of the room.

Annie looks at me and rolls her eyes. I laugh and sit down.

"Good morning, ladies," starts Prince Liam. "In order to get to know all of you, I request your permission to speak with each one of you," he says and smiles a dazzling smile. "When you are done speaking with me and eating your breakfast, you may make your way towards the Women's Room."

"Jenna Adams," calls Silvia.

Ova immediately stands up and walks over to a spot in the corner of the room, where the prince is waiting. There are two chairs set up by a window.

Everyone else starts to eat their breakfast, including me. I try to ignore the sick feeling in my stomach by eating, but that does nothing to ease the feeling.

After about five minutes Jenna walks back with blushed cheeks. She takes her seat and Silvia calls Iris Charleston. She gracefully gets up and glides over to where the prince is.

In all honesty, I envy Iris a little bit. When I walk in heels, I look like a toddler trying hopscotch for the first time. Not a good picture. Another five minutes, she walks back.
