No Hope
We all walk around,
Heads facing the ground,
Never a stare or passing glance,
Even as through life we dance.
No contact-is it a curse?
I am then captured by the nurse.
A shocking truth is what we learn.
Now in mind, who do we turn?
I fight and I scream,
Facing the horror of my dream!
No, I shout, it mustn't be true!
And then as if one cue,
My body starts to shut down
Half way through town.
Death runs after me,
But the light I cannot see?!
I am going to Hell?
When I ring that final bell?
Nurses chase me, too.
To now, what shall I do?
Death or life?
Am I willing to take the knife?
It's what got me her in the first place.
Coming face-to-face with death,
I take my final breath,
And escape the hospital for the insane
Where my life has always been in pain.
