I had no idea where the main office was so I decided to ask the pretty boy with mismatched vans. Also, I did kind of like him and I wanted an excuse to talk to him.
"Hey, excuse me, but do you know where the main offices are?" I said once I was in hearing shot to the boy."yeah I'm walking over there right now if you wanna join me." He said looking up at me and his eyes were the most beautiful shade of hazel I've ever seen in my whole life; it looked light brown with specks of gold and green swimming in it and the tips were dark brown. It was art. And I was doomed from the beginning, really.
"I'm sorry if this comes off as rude but what's with the mismatched shoes?" I say trying to spark a conversation but originally because I was curious. He looked down to his right gray vans then to his left light blue ones. "They are mismatched, aren't they ?" he murmurs looking up, " I don't really have a legit reason for that. I just like them that way? " but it came out more of a question than a statement. "Really ? well the gray I understand, but what about the other one?" I pry a little more even though I feel like I'm invading his privacy. " It matches my shirt, I guess. "
"No, it doesn't. Your shirt is dark red and your shoes are- well shoe is light blue!" I say surprised, all I want to do at that moment is to know what is going through his brain. " So it does match my shirt. We're here by the way, this gate leads to the main offices. I'll see you later, maybe" he smiles walking away leaving me stunned. All I know is that I want to get to know this guy. Once i can see the back of his head in distance, I realise I didn't get his name. I also realised that I was doomed.
