James knocked on Emily's door so many times he thought his knuckles would split. By the time she reached the door, bleary eyed from sleep, his hand was red and throbbing but he ignored it. Emily looked at him wearily and yawned,
"Why are you here in the middle of the night?"
"Emily," James told her frantically, "there's no time to explain, I need to find one of the staff leaders. I think I just had some kind of vision!" She snorted but her eyes had suddenly brightened and they looked wide and worried, like a deer's.
"Okay, I know where to find my dad and then he can call a meeting together as he's the lead collection officer," she said, grabbing James' arm and pulling him towards the staff quarters. As soon as Euan had heard what had happened he used a small device he had in his belt to send a signal to the rest of the leaders. They all collected in the conference room and James recited for the third time the dream he had that night.
"This is worse than we feared," Mercy gasped, his face white with terror,
"The armies of the Evil are preparing for war," Cynthia continued,
"And the hordes are trying to release his spirit." Sashkia finished.
"They must be stopped!" Ben exclaimed, "We cannot let them release it,"
"But how would we stop them?" Havin asked him warily, knowing how passionate the leader of The Order was about their adversary.
"We need to send a mission squad to destroy the volcano," Sashkia decided, "but it can't be staff as they would be detected as soon as they left the building and his minions would be alerted to their presence."
"So it needs to be students is what you're saying?" Cynthia asked, obviously interested in the idea.
"Absolutely not!" Mercy roared, "They are not ready for combat with the Evil himself!"
"How about final year students?" Havin mused to himself.
"That could work!" Cynthia told Mercy excitedly, "They would be experienced and be able to wield there powers effectively."
"Come on Mercy, it's the bet chance we've got," Sashkia pleaded with the Jamaican, "and you know we can't authorise it without a unanimous vote!" Mercy sighed as nodded his head. He obviously has strong feelings for Sashkia if he would relent that easily.
"Very well then, it's settled." Ben finalised, "A group of volunteer final year students will go to the Mountain of Terror and face against the Evil's hordes. We will discuss this more tomorrow, thank you for bringing us this James. If you hadn't I'm sure it would have ended very badly for us."
"No problem," James said and then cautious asked, "but how was I able to see it in the fist place?"
"You have obviously been bestowed the Sight by one of the fey folk or a warlock. We don't know who but we can only send our thanks to them." With that James and Emily departed and walked slowly back to their rooms. They talked whilst they were going about the events and then Emily said goodbye and went into her room. James scanned his hand and flung himself onto his bed. He closed his eyes but he knew that sleep would not come for the rest of the night.
