"Emma, RUN!"
It was so hot..
"Don't just stand there, get out of here!"
I was so scared..The screeching of my little sister, who was still a little baby, filled the room I was in. I looked at her and my parents who were standing next to her little bed. They were unable to get to me, thanks to a huge hole in the ground. The jump was too big, and if they failed they were sure to die, because of the fire below.
"M.. mom.." I didn't want to go, not without them. Somewhere in the corner of the room the ceiling started to come down, immediatly bringing down a piece of the floor as well.
"Emma, listen to your mom, get outside, where it's safe!" my dad yelled at me.
I looked at the ground, crying, but in the end decided to listen. As fast as I could I ran past the fire towards the stairs, away from the babychamber where my family was.
More pieces of the ceiling fell down, on the stairs as well. I screamed. Why? Why this had to happen?
I coughed a few times. The fire started fully eating the oxigen away. I had to leave this place, as soon as possible. Quickly I ran down the stairs, avoiding the burning pieces laying on it, just light enough to not fall through it. More pieces of the house fell down. With my arms I protected my face. I was so angry. So sad, and so angry.
With my eyes on the front door I ran towards it an swung it open, after which I ran into the cold and safe outside world. Everywhere were people. Two ambulance guys saw me and ran towards me to help me. I followed them to the ambulance, my face completely wet from the tears.
"My.. parents.." Even though my voice was as good as gone due to the smoke and the crying, they seemed to understand me.
"What is your name?" one of the ambulance guys asked me.
"Emma.." I answered. "My parents.. please.."
"Emma, I'm sorry, but.." before he could finish his sentence, the house fully collapsed. All that was left was a burning ruin. That was the moment I lost it. Anger took over. Why this had to happen?! My eye hurt a lot, but I didn't care. I stared at the house, then at the person who had been talking to me. Why hadn't they done anything?! Why didn't help my family?! Why were those stupid people allowed to live but my parents weren't?!!
Then I saw a bright light in front of me, together with a lot of schreaming. My eyes burned so much. And so did the person who had talked to me.
