Chapter 10: Clan Names!

-Rainbowtail's POV-

When we were finished eating, we walked back to the clearing where we split up.

To our surprise, Niall, Liam, Louis, and Lionmane were already there.

"You should have seen how good I was with that squirrel!" Niall welcomed us.

I smiled. :3 "the good part is that we all got a good share of food, right?" I meowed.

"Not me." Louis grumpily mumbled.

"Aww, cheer up, Lou. It's not the end of the world." Harry says.

"Okay." Oakstar announces. "It's time for the fighting part of the exercise."

"Rainbowtail will go first, no claws out." Lionmane says.

I tense.

The others back away.

I can hear them whispering to each other, each of them anxious to see if they can copy me.

I feel five eyes burning into my pelt, and I focus on Oakstar and Lionmane.

They were still, and I had no way of knowing when they were going to attack.

I saw Lionmane lower his head, ready to leap.

I instinctively pounced, and tried to get a pin on him, fortunately, I was successful with the front paws, but the back paws scrabbled my belly. I kicked them away, but he still threw me off.

I landed with a thump a few tail lengths away.

I jumped right back up just in time to see Oakstar pelting at me.

He leaped.

I ran foreward and ducked under him, managing to hit his belly with my forepaw.

He lost balance, and fell down on his side.

I ran and pinned him down.

"Very well done, Rainbowtail." Lionmane said.

I got off of Oakstar.

I was pleased with myself.

After me was Harry, he volunteered.

He tried to copy me move for move, but surprisingly didn't get it.

He got pinned. He was thrown to the ground. Pinned, AGAIN.

He managed to hold Oakstar down for a few seconds, but that was his best shot.

"Nice try." I said to Harry.

I am too lazy to write descriptive stuff about it so here you go:

Rainbowtail=friggen role model

Harry=not too good

Zayn=fifty fifty

Niall=seventy percent

Louis=mirrored Rainbowtail perfectly

Liam=twenty five percent

I kinda forgot what they look like so here:

Harry-light brown, darker brown stripes, curly

Niall-sandy color with orange blotches

Louis-sandy color with brown spots

Liam-light grey with darker grey stripes

Zayn-black with blonde stripe down back

Anyways, Oakstar said, "very well done, all of you. Now I will give you warrior and apprentice names. Rainbowtail, you may stay as a warrior. Harry, you are now Curlypelt. Niall, you are now Flarepaw. Louis, you are Cheetahpaw. Liam, you are Stonestripe. And Zayn, you are Eclipsepaw."

Lionmane told us what we were so we weren't confused. "The warriors are, Rainbowtail, Curlypelt, and Stonestripe. The apprentices are, Flarepaw, Cheetahpaw, and Eclipsepaw."

"Oakstar?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Will Stonestripe, Curlypelt, and I be able to mentor Flarepaw, Cheetahpaw, and Eclipsepaw?" I meowed.

"No, we will have experienced warriors mentor them." He answered.

"Oh." I meowed, a bit disappointed.

"We are finally doing something not boring!" Flarepaw excitedly meowed.

So we decided to walk home.

Halfway there, a shriek came from behind me, and it was Curlypelt.

"FOX!!!" He yowled.
