"Hello." I say, "I'm Rainbowtail, and this is Harry, Louis, Zayn, Liam, and Niall."
"So what are you doing in Thunderclan camp?" The leader challenged.
"Well, you see-" Liam begins.
"-we were kinda wondering if we could join Thunderclan." I finished.
The Thunderclan leader gave it some thought.
"I'll have to talk to my deputy." He says.
"Deputy?" Harry asks.
I tell him, "it's like being the leader's assistant."
I ask the boys, "Hey, wanna go down to the lake while we wait?" I ask.
I hear murmurs of agreement.
"Okay, I'll be right back!" I run to Flowerpaw.
"We are going down to the lake if Oakstar asks. Okay Flowerpaw?" I meow.
"Okay!" She says.
I signal for the boys to follow me with my tail, then sprint down the slope dotted with trees.
I take a sharp left around a tree, dodge some brambles, and leap over a rock.
"Wait up Av- I mean, Rainbowtail!" I hear Niall's voice.
Harry was actually keeping up pretty good. Well, his favorite animal was cats, so of course he would be used to it, just in a different kind of way.
I climb up a tall rock, then wait for the others.
"Woah." I say.
From here we could see the lake, the island, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan!
I pounced onto a tree close to the rock. Climbing the tree, I could see the whole forest! The leaves shimmering as they fell to the ground, and I could even see the Sky Oak!
I leaped for another tree, and caught a branch. I scrambled onto it, then looked for another place to land. Tree to tree to tree. I was doing so good! I was leaping so fast!
In the distance behind me, I saw the boys.
I signaled for them to come over, and they just came following on the ground.
I jump down from the tree. "You guys are no fun." I say to them.
"Hey, I am not risking falling to my death!" Liam says.
"Cats always land on their feet." I simply say.
"Yeah right." I hear him mumble.
"We're here." Harry said.
"I'm hungry." Zayn says, "Let's find a house where we can be warm and they will get us food."
"Yeah." Niall says. "I'm starved."
"Fine, you can go eat with twolegs, but I will stay here for the sake of eating something good." I say.
"But what can possibly be better than cat food at this moment? We are cats!" Harry meows.
"I will hunt for myself once I get Oakstar's permission."
"You guys hunt?" Zayn asks.
"Yep." I say.
And you eat real mice?" Louis asks.
"And squirrels, voles, birds, and stuff." I meow.
"Doesn't that taste horrible?" Niall asks.
"Not if you're a warrior." I say.
"Well, I'm not taking the chance." Zayn says, "we need warmth and food. There is no guaranteed supply of mice."
"I can." Harry meows.
"But that means you guys can't be friends anymore, the twoleg place where kittypets live is way over by Shadowclan! If some of you go, and some of you stay, it's forbidden friendship." I meow cautiously.
"I'm staying with Harry, whether I like mice or not." Louis says.
"I wish there was a Nando's here." Niall mumbled
"What Niall?" I ask.
"I uhh said that, uhh, that Zayn is right. We need guaranteed food."
I frowned, and said, "Liam?"
"I think that we should listen to Rainbowtail, she has known this longer than we have, and if she says mice is good, then I believe her." He meows.
"I am sorry Zayn, but I'm afraid that's changed my mind." Niall says, joining us.
"But don't you guys want warmth and comfort?!" Zayn meows.
"All the warmth and comfort is all around us, with our friends." I said.
"I'll try, but don't think I'll stay in a den forever!" He snaps.
"It's only for two weeks." I say.
"We have made our decision." A voice comes from behind us.
Oakstar pads out of the tree cover.
"We have chosen for you to..."
