Chapter 17: LionClan!?

Ava/Rainbowtail's POV?

I glanced at the newly taken picture on my white desk through my tears.

I saw all of their faces. Louis, Harry, Zayn, Liam, and Niall.

But, if summer hadn't started yet, how could I have that picture?

I. Am. So. Confused.

My phone buzzed on the other side of me, on my bedside table.

MESSAGE FROM: Katie

I sighed. At least I could tell Katie about this. I read the message, trying to stop my tears from falling.

Hey, Ava! I'm so exited for the summer! I had the weirdest dream last night! Tell ya 'bout it at school!

I sighed. Me too.

I decided to jump in the pool for some reason, just so sad and angry with myself for having a dream like that. The moment I hit the surface of the water, it seemed like blackness.

A few seconds later, I woke up in the warriors den, water from the ceiling dripping onto me.

I still was crying silently, because of my human dream.

I wonder what Katie's weird dream was.

I got up, it was still dark.

Tiptoeing out of the den, I laid in the middle of the cool clearing.

I gazed up at silverpelt, thinking, 'why did you make me have that dream? I was scared!'

I closed my eyes, laying my head on the ground for what seemed like an eternity, then I opened my eyes to see warriors and apprentices pad out of their dens at the first light of dawn.

I saw Stonestripe following Lionmane out of the warriors den, and Flowerpaw yawning and stretching, only to be bumped into by a sleepy Cheetahpaw.

Finally, Curlypelt came out of the warriors den.

Lionmane came up to me and said, "You're an early starter, right?"

"Well, I just woke up early on accident today." I explained.

He nodded. "I want you to be on a border patrol with Lynxheart, Mintwhisker, Flowerpaw, and Kestrelpelt." He meowed.

I saw a she cat come over to me. "Hi, I'm Rainbowtail." I said.

"Kestrelpelt." She meowed plainly. "Who leads the patrol?" She asked to Lionmane.

"I think you should." Lionmane said to her.

She nodded. I went over to Flowerpaw and told her we were going on a patrol.

"Cool!" She sprang up enthusiastically.

I decided to tell her about my dream.

"Hey Flowerpaw, I had a very crazy dream last night, I think I should tell you." I started.

"Okay." She pushed me on.

"Well, I had a dream that I was a twoleg, and I had a weird piece of... Umm... Wood." I said, describing my phone.

"And it said message from Katie, which is somebody I don't even know." I lied. She nodded. "And I jumped in this tiny twoleg lake, and I woke up!" I said.

"That's a crazy dream, could be a sign from Starclan?" She guessed.

"If you think you know Starclan, you don't." I said.

"Well, you just got here, so how do you know about Starclan?" She asked.

"Well, I was descended from a clan, then I somehow got out. My family carried on the traditions of Starclan and the Warrior Code." I lied smoothly.

"Woah! Do you know what clan?" She said, dazed.

I tried to look like I was searching through memories. "I think that my family went so far back that we were in... Lionclan!" I meowed.

"So where did Stonestripe, Curlypelt, Cheetahpaw, Eclipsepaw and Flarepaw come from?" She asked, looking at Stonestripe as we left the camp.

"I just met them all in one group, they came to where I lived, so I decided that we could come here and meet more cats." I said slowly, thinking about every word.

"Hmm" was all she said.

I was going to need to tell somebody here why we were truly leaving before we had to, I think that was Flowerpaw. I also wanted to leave with the clan willing to let me visit or come back every so often. Heck, I might even have to tell the whole clan, and see that I have lied to Flowerpaw. I would tell her when we got back, I vowed to myself.

(Woah, did I just write a paragraph? I'm scared now.)
