The Birthday

Sydney's P.O.V
Today is Johnnys birthday and I was walking to the store to get some wrapping when I noticed a blue mustang trailing me agin. "Hey baby miss us" one of the socs asked. "Why don't you get lost you dirty soc" I snapped at him. Just then I was tackled to the ground and being slugged in the face by a guy with rings. I was trying to fight back but they were holding me down as the guy with rings sat on my chest. "PONY, SODAPOP, DARRY, SOMEONE!" I screamed. He punched my one more time hard enough to knock me out. Next thing I know I'm waking up on the couch in my house. When I open my eyes I see the whole gang sitting around the living room in complete silence. "Who died" I asked trying to lighten the mood. Just then my brothers shot up and ran over to me "Sydney, are you okay" Soda asked with a shaky voice. "Well apart from the pounding in my head and the pain everywhere I'd say I'm fine" I said sarcastically. "You've been out for three hours we were getting really worried" Ponyboy said. "Where's Johnny" I asked. "He and Dal went to get some bandages from the store, you're bleeding pretty bad Syd are you sure you are okay" Darry asked concerned. "No Darry I'm fine I just need to walk around and catch my breath" I said not knowing the condition I'm in. I tried to get up but I could not move. It even hurt to breath. Just then Johnny and Dally walked in. Johnny ran over to me and dropped down to his knees and said "Hey baby you okay"

Johnny's P.O.V

"Yea Johnnycake I'm fine" she said but I could tell she was lying. "Man, I'm gonna kick those socs ass, they are gonna learn not to mess with my family" I heard Dal mumble under his breath and apparently Sydney heard it too "Dally I'm fine please don't do anything stupid, Dal please" she begged. "Yea, Yea ok, fine but if they mess with any of you again I'm gonna murder them" Dally said as he bent down next to her. "Hey happy birthday Johnny" she said smiling. Her smile made me smile and I said thank you.

Dally's P.O.V

Sydney was like my little sister and I would not let anything hurt her. We celebrated Johnny's birthday without Syd even leaving the couch. I sat next to her the whole time. Finally it was time for presents. Two got him a Mickey Mouse knife holder, Steve and Soda got him some of the best hair grease, Darry and Pony got him a new jean jacket. My present was up next. Johnny pulled out the first box. "Condoms, Really" Johnny said giving me his bitchface. "What you have a girlfriend now better safe then sorry" I got some stares from Sydney's brothers telling me to stop and I could not help to chuckle to myself. I heard Syd chuckle to herself too. "Go on there is something else in there too" I said smiling. He opened the next box which was a brand new knife. "Dal how did you know this is the one I wanted" he said smiling. "I saw you eyeballing it and you and Pony were talking about so I bought it". "You bought it or stole it" Soda asked. "Bought it" I snapped. "Yea right" Two-Bit mumbled under his breath but I didn't care. It was for Johnny so I bought it.

Johnny's P.O.V

Next was Syd's present. It was a little box with a J&S on it. "I was going to wrap it but this happened" she said pointing to the cuts on her face. I opened the box to find a ring. It was silver with Forever Yours craved into it. There was also a J&S carved into the top. It fit perfect on my ring finger. I looked up at her and smiled. "I love it Sydney, Its perfect" I made my way over to her and put my hand on her cheek and kissed her lips softly. She smiled and blushed as I said "I love you". "I love you too" she said and kissed me. Then this perfect moment was ruined by the rest of the gang whistling and making kissing noises. Then Dal said out loud "See I told you they would need those condoms". Just as he said that Soda, Darry, and Ponyboy jumped up and chased him out of the house while the rest of us just laughed.
