Sydney's P.O.VI'm currently getting ready for my date. It took a little convincing from Darry but of course I got it. Sucker! I threw on a white crop top and some ripped skinny jeans with a leather jacket and a beanie. I put on my make up and walked out the door glancing at myself in the mirror.
Walking down the hall I heard all the boys in the living room which meant they were going me and Alex a hard time....Great.
"Hey boys" I said walking down the hall showing off my outfit. There were whistles and hooting among the boys.
"If someone makes one more noise like that to my sister I will kick your ass" Darry yelled which made me chuckle.
"You look really pretty Syd, he's a lucky guy" Said Johnny looking kinda of sad.
"Thanks Johnny" I said giving him a hug which he gladly returned.
There was a knock at the door which made us all jump. Mostly because no one ever knocked on the door.
"That must be him"said Two-bit.
"No shit genius, who else would knock" answers Steve choclate cake all over his mouth.
I walked over to the door and opened it. There he was this greaser boy. But if i didn't know any better i'd say this boy ain't no grease. Except for the cig hanging from his mouth.
"H-hi Sydney" he said staring at me, "you look gorgeous."
"Thanks, you ready to go?" I asked him.
"Yeah totally," He answered offering his hand for me to grab. I gladly took it as we walked off my front porch.
All the gang were now on the front porch watching as we walk away. I turned my head and waved and they all waved back.
I turned back to Alex "So, where we going?"
He chuckled lightly "It's a secret."
"You're not going to kill me are you?" I asked smiling.
This time he laughed out loud "No Sydney i'm not going to kill you."
"Just checking, just checking." I said laughing.
"I have a question." He said looking at me.
"Okay, shoot," I answered.
"Are all those guys back at the house your brothers?" He said.
"Yes and no. I have three brothers Darry is the oldest, Sodapop is second, then there is me, and our younger brother Ponyboy. The other boys are part of the gang. But I consider then my brothers. Blood doesn't make you family. My parents taught me that." I answered
"What happened to your parents?"He asked.
"Um, they died," I answered "it's just me and the gang now."
"I'm sorry I-I shouldn't have asked," He quickly said.
"No it's fine I kinda like talking about my parents, we don't really talk about them at home," I said lightly smiling.
He smiled at me and I smiled back looking at the ground. I noticed something. Our hands were still intertwined. It felt nice. And comforting. We continued walking down the street hand in hand. I could not help but smile.
