Levy and the rest of the guild found Gajeel in a nearby river, passed out. They quickly pulled him out before he could drown, and Levy crawled over to him weakly, craddling his head in her arms.
Gajeel, I've been such a fool..... I'm sorry. She thought, tears welling up in her eyes, but she would not cry. "By the state he's in I don't think that Kim or Devil's Eye is gone yet." She stated and the rest of the guild looked at one another and nodding. "You're right, Levy." Erza said. "We must eliminate them as quickly as possible." She looked in between all of them and a feeling of dread washed over her.
"We're sorry to do this, Levy, but it's for your own protection. We can't have you getting involved anymore." She said and before Levy could do anything else, she was hit in the back of the neck where her pressure point is, and the world faded into black.

Levy woke up in Fairy Tail's medical chamber, and she looked to her side, seeing Gajeel. Suddenly remembering everything, she sat up, only to be hit with a piercing headache. She clutched her head before seeing Gajeel slowly waking up.
"Gajeel?" She whispered and his eyes slowly opened to reveal his red orbs. "......Levy?" He asked and she nodded, tears filling her eyes once again. Ignoring her pain, she slowly got up and hugged him, sitting on her knees at his bedside. "You scared me, Gajeel." He looked at her warily, as if he believed he was still asleep.
His eyes widened when she planted her lips on his for a sweet, delicate kiss. "My feelings haven't changed and I hate it and I love it at the same time." She whispered, holding onto him tightly. He sighed. "I'm dreaming, aren't I? That or I'm dead." He stated and she shook his head. "No, this is real, Gajeel. I want to tell you this before I forget and regret not telling you. I'll regret not telling you for the rest of my life. I.... I love you. I have since you saved me from Laxus all those years ago..... and then you kept rescuing me and being a big jerk." She said and he laughed before starting to cough.
Someone cleared their throat and the two looked up in surprise, seeing a young girl with pink hair and green eyes standing there, panting. By the way she was dressed, she must have been a servant of some kind. "You must..... help..... them......" She said, out of breath. "What do you mean?" Levy asked, another feeling of dread filling her. "Devil's Eye..... they'll kill your friends and wipe out anyone who stands in their way.... they wanted the..... the Dragon Sword because....... because it's the only thing that can stop it...... but since you're here now, they think they can get away with taking down Fairy Tail...... and then anyone else, Sabertooth, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale..... anyone who'd try to seek revenge on your guild's behalf...." She panted looking up with distressed eyes.
"How can we trust you?" She asked and the girl pulled up her sleeve, revealing a burn mark with the Devil's Eye crest, and she saw other marks on her, burns. "This is why you can trust me. I'm not going to live much longer, my fate was sealed long ago.... They drained me of all my power to make this weapon, and using the rest of it to come here will be the fatal blow, but..... they must not succeed....." She said before falling to the ground and Levy hurried to her side, checking for a pulse.
"She's dead........" She whispered squeezing her eyes shut. "Well then, lets go, Shrimp." Gajeel said, slowly standing up. "What are you doing? You have to stay here." She said and he shook his head. "No can do, Shrimp. I ain't leaving you to get killed." He said and stretched, and she sighed, grabbing her sword. I have a lacrima on Lily.... This'll bring us a few feet away from him. Huh, never thought that I'd actually need these." He said before grabbing Levy and crushing it with his foot.
They arrived in a forest, and they could hear fighting in the distance. They needed to help their guildmates and save the rest of the world, how cliche that sounded.
They ran as quickly as their injured forms could go, and finally they arrived, seeing many unconscious forms on the ground. Somehow Levy knew exactly where to go, and she gribbed her sword and Gajeel's hand tighter. She didn't know what would happen next.
As they ran, they came to a room with a large and terrifying weapon with what seemed to be a never ending flow of magic energy,
Levy froze, her sword sending shockwaves throughout her body from her hand.
"The spell.... This is what the Dragon Sword was made to do...." She whispered and unseathed the sword. "Gajeel, I need you to leave." She said but he shook his head. "No can do, Shrimp, I'm sticking by your side." He said and she looked up, tears again in her eyes. "You don't understand! You'll die if you stay!" She shouted and he pat her head. "That's exactly why I have to stay here. You go, I go." She said and she shook her head. "But-!" He didn't give her another option because he placed his hand on the sword as well.
Their magic energy was absorbed and they started to chant the spell.
"Oh Legendary sword,
A gift bestowed upon the Earth by Dragons long ago,
Serve your purpose to protect the civilization known as Earth,
From the weapon made by Devils,
In which their eyes were used to watch upon the end,
Shine!
Live!
Protect!"
Pain started to shock through them.
"Love!"
Light shone from the sword and it floated into the air, and Gajeel held Levy, both feeling faint and weak.
"I love you Levy. I wish it didn't have to end this way..." He whispered and she nodded, embracing him. "I know.... But we're going down together... Even though only I was supposed to die." He laughed weakly. "Nah, Shrimp. I'm not able to live without you. 'Cause this time you'd never come back." He said and she looked up at him, a tear falling down her cheak.
"I love you, Gajeel."
"And I love you, Shrimp – Levy." And so the light consumed them.
Later, the guild found their bodies on the ground, the Dragon Sword nowhere to be found.
Lucy fell to her knees and cried, Natsu comforting her. Levy and Gajeel were hugging; their final declaration of love.
A/N: Thank you so much for reading The Legend Of The Dragon Sword! I actually had a lot of fun writing it, and I'm so glad you readers requested a sequel, or I never would have gone on this journey with you guys. I love when you readers request a sequel to an otherwise ended story, unless the characters are dead, then I can't really do anything.... But another story someone requested a sequel and I got a really good idea for it, so.... yeah! Thank you all again! Thank you thank you thank you! I'm sad to see it end, but it was fun.
