When I got home from school I did my homework and ate dinner. No texts from Mr. Parker or Nick or Miranda. It didn't bother me because it let me focus on my home work some more. I took a shower and went to bed, lame night.
I woke up the next morning and got dressed for school, I am wearing a cute dress from American Eagle.
I make another bagel and hop on the bus, listen to music and almost fall asleep. We didn't have that loud bus driver thankfully. I get to school and I decided to pass Mr. Parker's classroom.
He had his head laid down on his arms. He's been in a bad mood lately. But I don't know if our little talk made him any better. I decided to go in his room. I knocked on his door and his head popped up and his face looked groggy.
"Hey," he clears his throat, "Carter."
"Hi Mr. Parker." I give a little wave and smile a little.
"What's up?" He sits up straight in his chair and straightens his tie.
"Just checking in on you, how are you?" I could tell that he obviously wasn't good.
"Uh, yeah I'm fine." he said. his voice was low and cracked a little. He looked kind of sexy.
"You don't look like you're fine." I stated, not knowing if it was going to hurt his feelings or not.
"Thanks," he turned his chair, "come here." he said. I walked closer to him as he stands up. "I'm sorry." he breathes
"For what?" I questioned, confused to why he is apologizing.
"For trying to take things too fast, for scaring you away." his face was only inches away from mine.
"We really do need to take things slow." I hoped he understands as he nods his head. His forehead is on my forehead.
He leans in for a kiss but I gently push him away. "And by slow I mean we need to get to know each other more." I smile as I step back.
"Fine." He grumbles.
I smirk and I kiss him on the cheek but close to his lips. He smiles in satisfaction.
"Now go clean yourself up in the bathroom." I winked and put my hand on the side of his face. He put his on mine and pulled it down. Without any words I walked away and out of his room.
As I'm walking back to my homeroom, the minute bell rings. Someone grabs my hips and turns me around. I look up and see that it's Nick.
"Hey Ni-" I get cut off by his lips on mine. I kiss back. But quickly pull away. "What was that for?"
"Oh I'm sorry, I thought we...uh." he scratches the back of his head.
"Whatever, I don't want to be late." I walk away wiping my lips with the back of my hand.
When I walk into the classroom the bell rings.
"Sooner, Miss. Davis." Mrs. Lewis says.
"Sorry." I apologize.
I sit down next to Miranda since some jock is sitting in my seat. "Are you okay?" Miranda asks.
"Not really."
"You look upset, did something happen?" I look that Miranda can tell when I'm upset. I told her what happened with Nick, but left out the part about Mr. Parker.
"Oh ewh! Nick is so disgusting! But kind of hot." She tells me.
"I know, it all just took me by surprise because he was so shy before. I don't know what could've happened to boost his ego."
"Well," Miranda starts, "Him and Katie did the dirty this weekend."
"What!? No way. Where did you here this?" Just as she was about to answer, the bell rings dismissing homeroom.
"It's going around school, you haven't heard about it yet?" She explains as we both walk towards our English classroom.
"I have not heard about that." I said, I was kind of happy and kind of upset about this whole thing. I am happy because it gives me a reason to not be with him. But kind of upset because we were sort of dating!
"He's a slob anyway." We both laugh and we enter Mr. Packers classroom.
"Good morning ladies." He says cheerfully with a big grin on his face.
"Good morning Mr. Parker." We both say in sync. Miranda turns and looks at me, she giggles.
"What?" I whisper.
"He is so hot." She admits.
"I know." I laugh as well.
"Thank you." He says which startles both of us. "Now take your seats."
Miranda looks at me and I could tell she was starting to blush. I didn't feel embarrassed though.
Class started and Mr. Parker let us watch Finding Nemo. Even though I'm a senior, I love that movie, and always will.
Every time I look over to Mr. Parker I catch him staring at me. He'd smile and look down real quick. Every time I'd look over to Nick I catch him staring at me. He'd smile and I'd give him a dirty look. The first time I did that I guess Mr. Parker saw because he laughed out loud a little and played it off as a 'cough'.
After class the rest of the day went by super fast. I got a phone call from my mom saying that my Aunt Keira is going to be taking me to a my other Aunt's birthday party. I can't wait to see my cousin, Jocelyn, again!
