Eireen
"Eireen, Eireen." She could hear Lexie's voice calling her with a soft knock on her door.
She hadn't locked her door since she came home so that her mother or Lexie could check on her.
"Lexie, what is it?" She asked.
"Can I come in?" Lexie asked back.
"Come in," she said. Both of them sit on her bed.
"Okay, so tell me why you have to wake me up at this late hour. It's only three fifteen in the morning," she asked, staring at her.
"Azriel called. He told me that Mikael was shot and is in the hospital right now," Lexie said.
"Shot? Hospital? How is he?" She asked in a panic.
"They are in Germany. His father called Azriel and asked for prayer for Mikael," Lexie said.
Her father is with Mikael. And Mikael is in danger.
"Let's pray, Lexie," she said, moving slowly and bending her knees to pray.
Lexie followed her. They prayed from dawn until the sunrise came up. They didn't notice when her mom came to her room.
"What happened?" Her mother asked worriedly.
The two of them opened their teary eyes.
"Mikael's in danger. He was shot in Germany. Dad called Azriel to inform him and also to ask for prayer. Azriel called Lexie." She told her mom.
"Oh Lord, save Mikael," her mom said.
"Do his friends know?" Her mom asked.
"I don't know; I think Azriel informed them too," Lexie replied.
"Is there any update yet?" Her mom asked.
"I don't know. Wait, I'll get my phone. I left it in my room," Lexie said.
She quickly stands up to get her phone.
"Azriel just sent a message that the operation was successful," Lexie said.
"Praise God! Thank you, Jesus," Eireen said, crying for joy.
"Amen. God is good," her mother said.
The doorbell rang.
"Early visitors?" Her mom said.
"I'm sure that's the couple," Lexie said.
Her mom and Lexie get out of her room to open the door for their early visitors. She put on her shawl to cover her nightdress and followed them to the living room. She doesn't want to rush because of her operation.
"You guys haven't even changed your clothes," Lexie said.
"Lexie, we don't have time to change. You have changed anyway," Clarette replied, looking at them one by one.
Yeah, they're right; no one has changed their night dresses except her mom.
"Azriel called us last night; it's morning, and we haven't slept since then," Carly said.
"Likewise, Eireen and I just finished praying. If Mom hadn't come to us, we wouldn't know that the sun had already risen," Lexie replied.
"We will wait for the update from Germany," Lexie said.
"Yes, we all came so that we can pray together. Prayers do miracles when children of God gather together," Belinda said.
"Amen to that!" said Carly.
